SUMMARY: get the T27967 NOT the T27867 (this one) if you want to have THREE DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS!Overall, installing was fine and the quality is very good. HOWEVER, the 3-way description can be misleading because it only uses two functions i.e. a shower head and a spout or a shower head and a hand held if you are piping them separately. You will need the SIX function if you have, like me, a shower head, a spout, and a hand held. I already purchased and installed the latter, it is also excellent quality and by that time, install was a snap.

very nice heavy duty quality.Delta is getting way to pricey for what your get. Almost $500 for just the face, by the time you get the valve and attachments your looking at about $1000? The good thing is that Delta will last the years.

Im bewildered and frustrated. I have this same set up in my master bath so we were not confused. We knew its supposed to be 1 for shower head, 2 for handheld, and 3 for both turned on. After a difficult install, all 3 settings do not divert. All 3 settings turn on the shower head and handheld at the same time. I called Delta and was informed I must have received a kit with a 2 setting diverter! The replacement part takes 8-10 days to receive- you cant even pay to expedite it! I have to reschedule a plumber to come out and pray this part they sent fixes the problem or figure something else out.

Love just turning the water on and having it come out at the temp I like. No twisting the knob to get it to the right temp or any of that. Perfect temp every time. And the shower head is comfortable. Plenty of water to rinse. Highly recommend.

It's expensive. It's impressive. It's HEAVY. The action is wonderful and feels substantial and of quality build and engineering. The temp being separate from the pressure..separate from the control to each shower head... its awesome. I set my temp. Preference, my location preference, (1 or other or both) and forget it. Just turn the shower on and it's always ready just how you like it. I feel dirty for how much this all costs. But the delta shower system... it washes all of that away.I regret nothing. Spend the money homes are an appreciating asset anyways.

I love Delta and their products and think their quality is amazing. I purchased >$2K of Delta hardware for our master bath remodel, including this trim kit. After installing everything, including the R22000 rough-in assembly, a rain shower head, normal shower head, and shower wand, my contractor realized that this only controls 2 outputs. Yes, there are 3 settings to you can merge the 2, but the product name is misleading. I ordered a 6 setting diverter cartridge, after reading that a few people just changed the cartridge ($100 more) and were able to get the 3 outputs working (although the indicators on the trim kit won't be correct).

I had ordered both a Moen valve and trim kit and the Delta. One in Satin and one polished The valves both seemed well made, but no comparing the trim kits. Moen was light weight with inexpensive foam sealing and Delta was a heavy weight with excellent weight and rubber sealing. CAUTION: This valve includes a 3 position diverter. The same valve body will also work with a 6 position diverter. Normally I would have installed the valve, but this remodel was done in our winter living condo and it is against the rules. The 3 or 6 position diverter trim kits have specific diverter valves. BUT, the KEY is the plumbing. If using the 3 position, you must cap off the diverter port on the RIGHT of the diverter body. Our plumber capped off the left since we were having a shower want mounted on a wall to the right. When we tested the 3 position, only 2 positions worked. Our wand would not operate as a stand alone. Fortunately, we were able to access the valve from the inside of a closet. The temperature control works fine, but the trim handle is plastic. Given the weight and finish of the rest of the valve, one wonders why Delta would use plastic on this.

Finally remodel is over and we get to enjoy beautiful features of our bathroom. Delta Ara Trim kit is a great item as far as functions, settings and price. We could have spent double on trim kits if we didn't find diverter and valve control on the same escutcheon plate. There aren't many options out there with 2-in-1 feature.The escutcheon plate does leave some finger prints which we wipe off with towel like we wipe down the glass enclosure. But it seems easy to maintain.Temperature control valve is great, but was a bit confusing to set it up at first. We couldn't figure out which way to set the temperature stopper. After several attempts we finally figured out which way the water was getting hotter or colder. It's recommended to set the temp not higher than 120 degree, but we could only get it at about 122 degree or way lower than desired. We used LED shower head which began to blink with red lights warning us about hot water. We manually set the handle itself just slightly less than at full capacity just so the kids wouldn't get scolded and yet we have an option of hotter water just in case we need to deep clean the shower. All other installation instructions were fairy simple.3 way diverter setting allows us to use our handheld wand, rainfall shower head or combo of both. The pressure remains great with any setting. Cartridge is included with this trim kit and fits rough in R22000Customer service was great. Our temperature control cap had some defects and I called in, got replacement within a week.Since we have uneven tile surface, the escutcheon plate wasn't an issue. Behind the plate there is a white cover to close your Rough in (we used R22000). We siliconed it per instructions and escutcheon plate went over that with no issues (without silicone).Overall, very happy with our purchase

I bought the whole shower system: Delta Ara 17 Series, which includes the valve control, rough-in, hand shower and head shower. Installation was straightforward. However the valve did not come in a close position, so when we turn on water for testing before we close the wall, water sprays everywhere. I installed another shower system after, and that did not happen. The valve should be packed in a close position so that we can turn on water for leak test before the wall can be tiled up. Also the knobs seem to be made of plastic and the control knob would not stay on. I called Delta and after 10 minutes talking found out that the number listed is Delta US, they can't send the replacement part to Canada. Delta in Canada is handled through Masco. I contacted Masco Canada and after a few days they got back and told me that part is not available and asked me to contact them again in December? Why do they ask me to contact them again is beyond me. They already have my contact, they know of the problem, why can't they just simply put in the order for the part to send to me when it is available? Anyway, to be fair, the rough-in looks like a robust part and the total shower system is not expensive (about $1300) compared to other shower systems out there. But service should have been better.

I usually get my fixtures from the wholesaler as we have an account there and get a great discount. Amazon was still about 20% less expensive. I try and support the local businesses but it's tough when there is such a big discount on top. I highly recommend this trim. Yes it's all metal except for the one temperature control lever but it's been fine so far. Install straightforward.Note that 3 settings means you can only have two fixtures in the shower that water will exit from. For us it was a rainfall shower head and a hand wand. You can choose which head gets to be position number 1 and the other, number 3. Setting number 2 is a combined setting having water coming out of both.

Very well made, and heavy! Easy installation. (uses Delta R22000 rough in ) Industry standard, so parts such as cartridges readily available from local plumb shops.Shipped quickly by Amazon.

It's a lovely look but was a bit deceived by the description. I need to have separate access to 3 ports, unshared. This diverted only uses 2 of the three ports. I'm so confused! I'm going to return it , I guess, and check for a different one.
