Focused on Core Myths Regarding Lucky Luciano
If you are looking for a comprehensive updated biography of Lucky Lucaino, this is not it. In fact, this book focuses on several Luciano topics: Where did he derive the name "Lucky" Did he ever personally murder anyone?" Did he play a key role in helping the U.S. military defend the NY waterfront, and assist the allies in the invasion of Sicily?, etc. For the most part, the book is neatly organized around these topics-there are a few minor grammatical errors suggesting that this was not comprehensively proofed; did manage to learn a couple of new items regarding associates of Luciano. Finally, the photo gallery is fairly comprehensive. A decent & quick read for any Mafia fan.

Meh Mafia Read
While an interesting read, this book is sorely in need of a proofreader. Not a good thing when you’re so distracted by the sentences that make no sense that you’re re-working it in your mind so that it reads smoother. Some new tidbits, but I don’t think the author did a good job weaving these pieces together into a cohesive profile. I did find that the author shared good observations about how Lucky’s success was propelled by mixing with Jews and other ethnic groups, while traditional mafia only dealt with Italians.

It's a good book, 113 pages, not 200
This Lucky Luciano book is pretty factual. I do like the writing style of the author. The one thing either author Christian Cipollini or Amazon should definitely do is correct where they state the book is 200 pages. As another reviewer correctly stated it is in fact 113 pages. Not 200. But I do like the book.
