Fresh and Works Well
You can tell it's fresh because it reeks to high heaven! LOL! The good thing is it works quite well. I have been falling asleep within 30 minutes and stay asleep with the exception of bathroom runs. Definitely worth the money!

Works great
So I've seen a lot of reviews complaining about the smell. Valerian root smells terrible and tastes almost as bad. You didn't get a bad batch, it just stinks. I hold my breath before I open the bottle and swallow them as quickly as possible. They do sometimes stick on the way down though so I suggest taking them one at a time or just get a really big cup of water. And hold your nose!

Absolutely wonderful
This was recommended by my chiropractor as a natural way to help me be able to sleep better. I live with long-term Covid issues and have to sleep with a machine that is equivalent to being on a ventilator. The valerian root has become a part of my nightly routine, and is most definitely helping me to stay asleep and get better quality sleep. I would definitely recommend this!
