B81 Single Sided Residential Deadbolt with Thumbturn and Outside Trim Pl, Matt Black

This dummy deadbolt perfectly solves the problem of the lock hole left by removing the old lock, and its security is superior to a simple lock hole cover plate. It is also very suitable for use with keyless smart locks, especially when some smart locks do not have a physical knob for double security.

Exactly what I needed for an Airbnb room. Looked at hardware stores and couldn't find a deadbolt with not key access. Needed this for safety concerns as the room is attached to the house with it's own outside access, but also another door that leads into the house. I don't want anyone trying to pick the lock of the previous deadbolt I had installed. Now they will have to kick the door down if they want to come in leaving evidence of a break in. The quality is good and I didn't have any issues with bolt lengths, I'm using it on a standard U.S. bedroom door. Do be sure they're tightend all the way. It gets tight, but they can go a few more threads once it reaches that point. It comes with a lot of hardware to meet your needs. Mine came with 2 faceplate which I'm grateful for as I ended up using the longer one.

Got new handle set for double doors and needed dummy deadbolt. This is perfect.

got this for our basement and this is a strong lock. very satisfied. it doesn't openly easily which I love because you dont want a weak lock meaning it is sturdy and you feel the lock unturning with some pressure.
