Could this giraffe be used as a bath toy? Would the paint come off if it was in the water a lot?

Schleich animals make excellent bathtub toys; ours have lasted through 6 grandkids playing with them in the tub & out, & they still look great. ( A couple of ours are at least 12-14 yrs old.)

Would these be appropriate for a 1-year old? It says not for under three but I'm not seeing what would be a choking hazard.

I personally wouldn't give this to a 1-year old because of the length of the legs (possibly long enough to gag a child under three) and the possibility of one of the legs breaking off. I bought this for a college student, who adores giraffes, as part of a surprise care package(!) The little giraffe is adorable and made well, but I just personally wouldn't risk it.
