Best Tools Ever, well worth the Wait

My plumber left one at my house so while waiting for him to pick his wrench up I tried it out. I love the locking feature and build quality. I'll by more Irwin tools as needed.

This is probably my first Amazon review in which I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the product. Easy adjustment; comfortable grip; tough, well-designed jaws. I've had mixed results with Irwin in the past, but these are a keeper.

I love these channel locks but they're only getting one star because the handle grips have become unglued after a week. It seems they were held on with silicone. Irwin is sending me replacements. The ones I purchased at lowes have been around for over two years and have not had this issue.

Here is the deal.. These tools are great!! I bought a larger more complete kit at the beginning of the summer. working alongside of my mother I noticed her eyeing it, and thought, since I was likely responsible for the loss of here beloved pliers of 30 plus years, this 3 banger kit would grant me the graces, I so desire. however!! take a good look at this picture!! all three wrenches rest so nicely (in) the organizer sheath. not the case in my hands.. the case is several sizes too small. the 12" head is peaking out, negating not only what would have been a clean organized look, but the protection needed from it scratching everything around. this kit is designed to be on the move. throw it in the car, throw it in the work shop, throw it in the garage, the shed, wherever you are working on the job. the case was a selling point for me; and there it is, the first damn pic you see.. I say avoid this, and go for the bigger kit. The case and all the tools were as advertised. this one was a bust. Another failed year for Christmas gifts.. Something tells me 2016 wont be any better if these companies continue to hire and support semi-retarded people for positions they clearly cant handle, making decisions they clearly are incapable of making.. and who is the person that decided to say F it, lets put it in the box anyway? pretty pissed about this. I expect what I pay for! I expect what you advertise in your picture! I'm in the right on that!!
