Will this stand work well without an external keyboard? Hows typing? 17.3” alienware laptop

Once you have set the height to accommodate comfortable positioning of your wrists, you should be able to type on your laptop without an external keyboard. I sometimes do it, although I just prefer a full-size keyboard myself. Ergonomically, I also prefer to have my arms resting on the same level as the typing surface, but you can set the height to place your arms in a neutral position, assuming your work surface height combined with the stand setting is comfortable.
