I think b/c I'm a child of the 80s and 90s (in the Midwest, that could be a factor), I have positive associations with Paul Mitchell products. The scent of the 'freeze and shine super spray' take me right back to the late 80s, big hair, Mary Kay cosmetics, and that whole vibe. But these products withstood the test of time! Not all products (hello, leave-in conditioner) by PM work for my fine, wispy hair (the leave-in is WAY too heavy for me), but this spray gel works great for adding some definition to my hair without ANY stickiness, heaviness, greasiness, etc. My hair still feels soft even after using quite a bit of it, but it's much less wispy and it holds style much better. I don't normally spend much money on hair products, I get whatever looks good to me at Kroger or CVS lol. But my hair is challenging and I'm confident enough in Paul Mitchell products that I thought it was worth a try and I'm so glad I did. WILL re-purchase when I run out.

Been using Paul Mitchell Soft Sculpting Spray Gel for over 30 years now, dreading the day it's no longer available! Spray in when hair is wet, let it harden, then break the hardness leaving your hair soft and straight with no fuss.

This is good. It probably would work way better on someone with shorter hair and some curls in their hair but I have really fine thin straight hair and I sprayed it on. It’s a little sticky and gooey but I mean you know I let it dry, then curl it so it is what it is. It works, though I like it.
