Not worth the money
Only comes with pegs and foam board. There was no bag, no thread, no colour die. Not worth the money

Fun and educational!
I bought this for my 1 year old to practice his fine motor skills while also having fun! He was immediately interested in the toy and had fun getting them to fit into the foam board and also loved being able to stack them! He hasn’t quite gotten the threading aspect of it, but I love that this toy will grow with him and keep his interest longer! The quality of everything was overall really good! There was one number where the ink seems like it was rubbed off during shipping, but other than that everything was perfect.

Can't get my toddler away from these. Seriously, someone help!
I received this in the mail just a few short days ago and here is my unbiased review.First, let me say that this comes in pretty much Frustration Free Packaging. Just open the plastic bag and you've got it. There are instructions included with this that you have to condition the board before use. Basically, you need to stick the pegs in the board to size it overnight. That's it. Comes with a nice drawstring bag to contain everything. One of the first things that I noticed when my child was playing with it, is that the pegs are a good size for a toddler's hand. Not too big and not too small, just right. These pegs are easily stackable and she doesn't need any balancing skills whatsoever like with traditional blocks. She likes the assorted colors of the pegs and (bonus!) we can use those later for when she is learning colors for sorting! The foam baseboard is easy to handle doesn't have any sharp edges. I like the fact that if she wants to chew on it she won't get hurt.Even though this is a relatively new toy for her, I have to say that this one gets a lot of play time use, probably because of the ease of use for her. There's basically no learning curve and she loves seeing how high she can get them stacked!

Great concept.
I like the concept of this product a lot. My educational background is in child development and psychology of children and youth. This product is definitely good for teaching colors, patterns, counting, coordination and many other skills. I do wish it came with more pegs though (I know more can be purchased, but you can only buy a lot of them for about the same price as a new full set of the peg board costs). The materials are kind of on the cheaper side (foam kind of broke a little bit around where I had to force the pegs in the first time etc). But thats to be expected for the price.I have to say that customer service was excellent though. I have received several emails since purchasing this item to ask if I was satisfied with the item. I like that they follow up to make sure everything is okay. Its good for the price for sure. I think my daughter is a bit beyond this type of item, but its still a good item to have on the go for doctors visits etc and for professional use.It is difficult to "shape" the board and must be done by an adult obviously. You have to really push them in. But after leaving it in overnight, its ready to go for kids to use. My toddler (2.5 year old) hasn't shown much interest in it yet, but I feel like with time, she will like using it. I might invest in more pegs. Its a good learning tool. I would use this as a professional while working with children to develop certain skills. I like that it comes with a travel bag.

**Don't let your kids see it before you've stretched it out overnight!**
This educational toy came just as described. The pegs were all there, plus one extra yellow. The foam board was in perfect condition and, despite being foam, was very sturdy feeling. There are 6 colors of pegs: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple, and their are 5 of each color. The board has 25 holes in a 5x5 pattern, so you cannot technically have all the pegs in the holes at the same time. I've noticed this actually forces my daughter to become more creative and deliberate in her placing of the pegs in order to stack them, or choose carefully which ones would be left out. After allowing it to sit overnight with the pegs in the board, it was easy for my two kids to play with. My 3yo enjoyed poking the pegs out from behind, and she really liked the challenge of the pattern cards, which were her first experience with patterns. My 15mo daughter was able to play with it as well. She was able to both put the pegs in the board, and stack them.I was impressed with the pegs, and ink usually not impressed with plastic toys (we choose natural materials usually). They stacked together with just enough pressure that they don't fall apart easily, but even my 15mo old could pull them apart without them flying. The email with the patterns came before my order even arrived, and the pattern printables came out nicely when printed on cardstock.Lastly, the board and the pegs fit snugly in their accompanying bag, not too much though. If you push the board to the bottom of the bag, you can still close the drawstring. It is difficult removing it, but I make sure I do it for my girls to avoid the frustration of pegs flying everywhere.I'm very pleased with this toy and I think it makes a great addition to our Montessori shelves, and our quiet bag for church/restaurants/car rides. Also, as noted in my title, make sure you don't let your child see it when it first arrives. The disappointment will be huge when they realize it has to sit overnight before they can play with it.And if you are having trouble at all with the pegs not fitting in the board, set it out in the sun until it's warm and then firmly put all the pegs into it. Allow it to sit and cool overnight, and it should be perfect.
