CCS Classic Crest 110# Cover Solar White 8.5x11-50 Pk

I have wanted to try this cardstock for some time because it is the choice of so many of the top card makers and papercrafters in the industry. I didn’t, however, want to pay for a whole ream because it is quite expensive. I was happy to find this offering so I could see for myself what the fuss was all about. Is it awesome? Yes. It is heavy, thick cardstock, great for card bases. I haven’t used it for anything else like coloring with alcohol markers, ink blending, die cutting, or tried in a printer, so I cannot attest to those uses. Although not what I would consider a bright white, it is smooth, and scores and folds beautifully.I’m not sure I will purchase again solely because of the price. In the past, I had found some alternatives. The Cougar Ultra Heavyweight Cardstock, 110lb Cover is comparable and actually a brighter white, although the price has gone up considerably since January of this year (from $27 to $35+). So... my search will continue in the quest to find an ecomical alternative to what is touted as the Holy Grail of cardstock by the top influential card-makers.

I am so grateful to have found the Neenah Classic Crest 110# Cover Solar White cardstock on Amazon! It is a wonderful heavier weight smooth true white cardstock that I have found to be a perfect base for greeting cards, art cards, tags and more. It die-cuts beautifully and is easy to ink blend and paint on. Neenah papers are made in America and they are renowned for their quality. This paper is definitely a favorite and one that is versatile enough to be a staple in everyone’s paper stash!

This is my go to paper for card bases. The paper folds well and does not crack. Color is good. Can also be used for die cuts and card fronts for an extra sturdy card.

Considering how often this cardstock is recommended online for use alcohol markers, I was not impressed. I even tested both sides of the paper and neither was better than the other. Granted, this cardstock barely bleeds over lines, but I've achieved much better blending on less expensive cardstock. The ink seems to dry faster this cardstock no matter how quickly I worked. I'll use this up, but I wouldn't repurchase and would only recommend this to use as a greeting card base or for use with colored pencils.

I have watched videos of other cardmakers and they were using Neenah Solar White cardstock. I am so glad I found CutCardStock on Amazon! My big box art store did not carry it. It is absolutely the perfect weight for cardmaking. My inks don't bleed through it and it is heavy enough for use as the card base. It is smooth and perfect also for layering. Great product! I will buy enough to keep on hand for all my cards!

If you are a card maker, then this is a must! Great for card base, strong and folds nicely. Very cost efficient.

I used this card stock for a project for my daughter’s baby shower. Guests created an ABC book for which I downloaded a template and then printed on this card stock. It is very thick and sturdy and worked perfectly for the project! I printed on a commercial copier/printer at my husband’s business—I am not sure if a home would have been able to feed it through due to that thickness. I would definitely use it for projects again! Another reason I purchased dis because it is produced in my home state! Trying to support local businesses!

It's hard for me to decide how to rate this, because the paper is great, but the way this company, Cut Cardstock, packages it renders a good portion of it useless. I assume they take a full reem from Neenah and break that up into smaller portions and shrink wrap it to sell. That's fine. But when they shrink wrap it, it bends the corners of at least 3/4 of the paper on one or more sides. I use these for card blanks for hand made cards, and I refuse to give someone a card with a crumbled corner. I can use the ruined pieces to stamp images that will be die cut out, but I should be able to use the whole piece if I want. I've ordered from this company a few times, and this has been a problem every time. They can't say they don't realize it's happening, because I've read other reviews with the same complaint. They're either blind, lazy, or have no integrity, or maybe all three. I will not be buying from this company again. As for the paper, it's great! I've been using it for years, and don't see a reason for trying any other white cardstock. I just feel like buyers should be aware of the crappy packaging. I wish we could review companies as well as the product, because while I give the product 5/5 stars, I give the company 0/5 stars; having to average it out isn't fair.
