Great pair of boots.
I absolutely love these boots!Straight out the box these boots are very comfortable and do not need a breaking in period. I am size 11uk and they fit perfectly.I have just used these boots to hike Elidir Fawr in Wales and a week of heavy rain the ground was slippery and very boggy in places but these boots had me covered they kept my feet firmly on the ground and helped me keep my footing.I am not sure what these boots have been coated in but when walking through the boggy patches not only were my socks bone dry the muddy water just flowed off the boots to the point my wife asked why are they still clean whereas hers were covered in mud.Overall the fit, feel and waterproofness of these boots are by far the best I have had. I have only used these boots for two hikes so far but in both dry and wet weather they keep my feet dry and breathable so no sweaty feet.Would definitely recommend and I will be buying a pair for my wife!

Very impressed with these
I have worn various makes of walking boots over the years included Meindl and Salomon. I had recently bought a pair of Skechers walking boots as I find their trainers incredibly comfortable but, for whatever reason, I found the boots to fit really badly.I therefore needed a new pair but was reluctant to spend a lot more money on something I wasn't sure about. Having read the reviews I decided to give these Nortiv 8s a try and am really pleased that I did. I have been wearing the boots regularly for several months now and find them very comfortable. They are supportive and lightweight. No signs of wear or poor quality.I haven't yet had to use these in really prolonger and heavy rain so can't comment on how waterproof they are. They've been fine in puddles and rain showers however.

Comfortable. Not waterproof
I bought these on the back of good reviews. They cover a lot of miles and are a very comfortable boot. Sizing is right (size 11). No breaking in needed at all and my feet are picky!. Quality 'appears' good but more time will tell. These cover 30 miles a week so we'll see.One negative so far and unfortunately it's a big one. They state they are waterproof. They are not!. Wet grass on the fabric will leak through. Deeper puddles, forget it. I will look for a better boot for the winter months but at the price point not too bad. Note to the manufacturer:. Don't mislead people!

Honest review 12 months after purchase
I chose this pair of boots over a year ago after a fair bit of review scouring to replace a pair of Karrimors which had seen better days.Daily use, dog walking, metal detecting (a test of any boot).I don't believe it is accurate to give walking/hiking boots a confident review until a good amount of real-world use.I can happily report that these boots for the price point have surpassed all expectations. Mud, 2" deep puddles, rocks, the boots have stayed dry and intact, including the laces.Very comfortable (I added gel insoles as suffer with plantier fasciitis. The also clean up well.I would buy these again no problem.

Tough, comfortable, reliable: A great pair of hiking boots!
An excellent pair of hiking boots, especially for the price. I've used it in hiking from Scotland to Wales within a few months of receiving them and they've worked perfectly in rain or shine. The bootstraps and laces feel high quality and are tough, allowing you to stretch them hard and pull them over the hooks into a strong grip that keep your ankles locked in and secure. While I am pretty confident in the waterproof nature of the shoes, there may be a gap here or there but that is understandable. In my time in (very rainy) Scotland and Wales, they kept my feet and socks well and dry. Just don't drown them in water, not what they're supposed to do.The grip is fairly reliable, perhaps not the greatest on terrain like very wet grass where it might be a bit slippery but otherwise perfectly fine on the mud, rock and road.Overall, an excellent product and has served me well!

Decent Budget Boot
Bought and worn for a 10 mile hike in snow/rain/mud conditions.Didn't wear these in, wore them straight out of the box for the hike. Initially had some foot ache/numbing for the first mile I'm assuming from not wearing them in properly. They feel quite heavy on the feet but after the first mile or so I got used to that and the numbness went away.Think the most important thing to highlight is these are NOT waterproof. Definitely water resistant, but wading through anything isn't recommended in these, I washed the mud etc off mine after the hike and noted the upper part of the boot appeared dry while the toe area was still soggy. Going to treat them with waterproofing stuff and try again. The good thing is once you're used to them, they are very comfortable. Still felt very comfortable on mile 10 of the hike and I had no discomfort or felt any blisters developing anywhere. All in all these are great as a "that'll do for now" sort of boot, and seem fairly durable for the price, but if you want something to list you years look elsewhere. For dog walks and fair weather hikes in a pinch, perfect.

So comfortable but questionable if waterproof
Bought these boot in November for use as a vehicle valeter, when I recieved them I couldn't believe how we comfortable they were, and STILL are, some days I put them on at 7am and they don't come off until 5 maybe 6pm, my feet don't hurt and generally the laces stay tied (double knot).Obviously I bought these as they're sturdy and claim to be waterproof, working in and with water a lot, not every day, they've certainly helped keep my feet dryer but they certainly aren't waterproof, I'd say water resistant, so if you are needing them to be WP treating them would be my advice. As you can see after 3 months the fabric is starting to fail due to the repeated exposure to water and probably chemicals would have liked them to last probably 6 months but I'll wear them until they're not useable so we'll see.

Better than expected.
Always worried about buying clothing, especially shoes online without being able to try them on; especially a newer brand I wasn't familiar with. These did not disappoint, instead I am now a loyal customer and plan on buying another pair this fall. I live in a wet area in Oregon where it rains 200+ days out of the year, and waterproof and comfort are most important. I don't just use these for trails, but use them as daily shoes in town and on trails. I have had these for 7 months now and they are still in good condition but starting to wear. However, as most waterproof shoes, they lose water resistance with wear. I walk 5 miles a day, so I put these to the test.Extremely comfortable. Everyone has different feet and comfort, was pleasantly surprised with these right out of the box. I always add more support, after a few weeks to preserve the original inside soles. The right size (12) as advertised; fit perfect. Good laces and support in the ankle area; strong material. They also look good which is also important. I have tested them through rain, snow, ice, in town, and trails and would highly recommend them. I read reviews thoroughly when buying things online, especially apparel and these had high reviews. Great shoes and plan on buying another pair this fall before the heavy rains get here again.

Excelentes en contra el agua
The media could not be loaded.
