My favorite out of many!
First off, I will say that I am no stranger to fiber lash mascaras. I have used them on and off for several years now, and have tried several brands, and there can be a huge difference between product results. They all pretty much work the same way - base, gel, fibers, gel, repeat as you like, and seal. The pitfalls you run into are gel clumps, fiber clumps, and spidery lashes, not to mention the mess - gel smearing all over the place as you apply and fibers shedding throughout the day. To really get it right, and not look like a clown, there is definitely a technique. You need a dry applicator ready (which is included in this set), and a lash comb handy to remove the excess in between coats of gel/fibers. That's how you get the best result - full, long lashes that look natural and aren't clumpy or spidery. No offense, but so many of the past reviews are "this is awesome!" and their lashes are goopy and gross. I don't know how anyone thinks that's a good look and it doesn't do the product any justice (in fact, I ALMOST didn't order it bc of all the goopy, spidery lash photos in the reviews).Technique aside, as far as formulas go, this product seems superior. The gel is very silky and not goopy. The fibers are soft and powdery with good separation, not stiff and flaky. I've purchased products like this where the gel was really thick, like icing, and the fibers were long and spiky and it was nearly impossible to get a good look (and not end up with a few fibers lodged painfully in my eye). This product has the consistency of both gel and fibers in a sweet spot, in my opinion. The color is also nice...not chalky or oil-slick black, just the perfect eggshell black.I would say my biggest tip to getting an "are those your real lashes?" look (which I've gotten), is to apply the gel conservatively, then really go at it with the fibers, then dry brush and comb out any clumps, and repeat. If I want a more dramatic, evening look, I seal with the gel and then apply one, quick coat of my favorite mascara. It just darkens everything and makes it look more dramatic. If I want a more natural look, I skip the base even, and just do a couple of rounds of gel/fibers.No fiber lash mascara is going to give you a good look if you don't get the technique down. Once you do, this product should easily be your go-to. It's easy to use, has hit the sweet spot with both the gel and fiber formulas/consistencies, and is priced similar to other fiber lash mascara sets. This one is my new favorite!EDIT: The last time I went to order this, it was nowhere to be found on Amazon. So I ordered a different brand with favorable reviews. It was goopy, the lashes were stiff and spiky, and after several weeks of use I noticed my lashes had gotten super thin - I had a BALD spot in the middle of my left eye. I stopped using that brand and waited until this came back in stock. Seriously, this product is night and day compared to the other product I purchased. Smooth gel, fluffy lash fibers....hoping the conditioning pre-treatment helps my lashes come back in! It really is a great product.

I've tried every makeup trick in the book--I can't believe I didn't know about this!
I hate false eyelashes and don't use them. My lashes used to be thick and full, but with age are no longer so. I never liked mascara with fibers in them because the fibers got into my eyes. This stuff is really different! I have tried every mascara ever made and this kit is the best and most natural look, hands down. It comes with a lush mascara in addition to the gel and fiber tubes. The gold mascara is very good; comes with an hourglass shaped brush, and is a good consistency. It does not irritate my very sensitive eyes. That said, I think I prefer the look without using the mascara first.I curl my lashes and then hold both the gel and fiber tubes in my hand. I use the gel like a mascara, but mostly on the tips of the lashes (it goes on and covers like a mascara). I do this on one eye (top lash) and immediately follow with the fiber. I brush that onto the tips and it immediately lengthens and fills in. I repeat this step on the lower lash, then on the other upper and lower lashes, one at a time. I wait until this "sets" and brush the lashes carefully with the included spiral brush. I find that this one coat is enough for me, and follow it with a coat of the gel, on all lashes, to seal the fibers in. I do not find fibers in my eyes or on my face. The only issue I run into is when the gel gets onto my lid or other surface. I use a makeup remover pen to take it off, as just a Q-tip doesn't really get it off--it is pretty "permanent". However, at night, my makeup remover takes it all off easily in the shower with no remaining mess or raccoon eyes. My eyes don't get puffy or red at night from irritation, which is a miracle!I can't believe I didn't know about this! I know there are many different brands of this, but I like that it is from a company here in the US. I needed a replacement and they instantly shipped one. I also found their communication friendly and instant...no waiting for time zones. I also like that the fibers are from tea rather than questionable materials. Things that go that close to my eye worry me. If anyone's eyes could be irritated, it would be mine...and they're not!

Omg it’s true!
Update: okay so it does smear on your eye lids after a while. I wore it to work one day and out another night. And I started to kinda melt into my upper eye lid. I have an active job so take that into consideration. If you work in an office I think you’ll be fine. But this is the mascara to wear to a night out unless maybe you give it a top coat of waterproof and see if that helps. Still a good product just not made for every environment.Original post: Came in a cute little box so it all stays together. Gave length more then volume but still liked it. Can look spidery so be sure to use the spool to separate the lashes once your done. In the picture the left eye has the fiber mascara and the right eye has “better then sex” mascara. As you can see it adds much more volume and length! I’m over all super happy with this purchase. Before this I was using the water proof Milk mascara and I can already tell you this is waaayyy better for the same price. I only had it on for a few hours so idk how it will hold up for a whole work day but I will update once I do.
