Grohe is a great product and this works great. Easy to install and color is perfect.

Thanks to another reviewer, my installation went smoothly. The instructions fail to let the installer know that there is a set screw "underneath" the main screw that holds the bar to the base. I needed to reverse the bar. To do that, remove the large set screw. Using the included allen wrench, loosen the small allen screw that is at the bottom of the hole used for the large set screw. A quarter turn and it will allow the bar to move to accommodate different size rolls. Out of the box, my unit was completely locked down and couldn't be moved. Loosening the small set screw further allows you to remove and reverse the direction of the bar. If the instructions mentioned the second, small, set screw, they would receive far fewer negative reviews. This is a quality-looking bar and should last for many years.

I installed it using glue on ceramic wall, and after a little dirty installation :) install was super easy and the look is fantastic. Note that this item arrives without the Grohe's glue.

Bought this product for our guest bathroom. It is a very well made product. Quality is nice and it doesn't look cheap. Very clean and easy to install. Price was a big factor in the purchase. Other brands seem to be really expensive for something that did the same thing... hold toilet paper.

Well made. Obvious German engineering even in a toilet paper roll holder! Nice finish. So crazy expensive.

This is a really clean, modern and beautifully built TP holder. It was definitely a splurge, but I'm so happy with the way it looks and feels. One thing to note is that the brushed nickel photo here looks a little bit champagne tinged in color. It's not. It's a very standard brushed nickel finish in person. I honestly wish I'd bought two.

In spite of the bar not swinging we liked the looks of it enough to use it as a towel holder….but I got to thinking we HAD bought a toilet paper holder so I went back and reviewed the product description and sure enough the bar should swing. If your bar doesn’t swing here is how to correct it: Remove the large Allen screw in the center behind the mounting plate. Using the supplied small Allen wrench reach into the hole the big Allen screw came out of and engage the small Allen at the bottom of the hole. Back that screw out 1/8 to 1/4 turn and your bar will swing! A little extra trouble but for us not enough to send it back since it was a match to our other bathroom hardware. This is also how you can reverse the direction of the bar and keep the retaining screw at the bottom and out of sight.

Looks absolutely great! But not well thought out as it does not hold large size toilet paper roll, which are more the norm than the exception nowadays. Does Grohe think through its products?

Grohe fittings are excellent. This is no exception. It fastens nicely using the grohe glue system so no drilling is required. Holds securely and look really good.
