So much potential and maybe it was just bad luck because other radio control cars in this category/class are also plastic but handle the thrashing. Literally took the car out of the box added 3 AA batteries to controller and connected the 7.4 Li-ion car. I'm not sure the exact collision (could have been a brick in the garden, a parked car tire, wall, or from doing somersaults) but when I drove down the driveway I noticed the limp and drag. So I have only tested it for about 10 minutes (not even one battery). Thank you to Amazon Prime for a replacement/exchange.The controller is decent because the steering wheel has a nice foam pad. Makes a difference to me. It has steering trim to adjust left/right if the car is pulling. Like adjusting the alignment. It also has power (throttle) trim which allows you to limit the amount of power you are using to drive. This is handy for beginners. You simply turn the power down and the vehicle will drive at a lower speed. Turn it all the way to max and it will drive at full potential allowing you to spin the tires and do donuts etc. Of course the rc is completely proportional so turning and throttle are proportional to the amount you input. It's not all or nothing.Braking works great. When you are moving forward (trigger pulled), the first instance you push the trigger activates the brakes. If you bring the trigger back to neutral and then push again, it activates reverse. This takes a bit of practice but as you get the hang of it, it's really fun slamming on the brakes, making a u-turn, and taking off again.This one feels like a short wheelbase which makes it a ton of fun as you rip all over the place. That would explain all the action in just 10 minutes of play. That is the best part about these toys that are hobby grade; you can have a blast. It's bit sluggish off the line like something is not allowing it to fire instantly but there's enough power to spin the wheels and do donuts once it's moving.Description (at the time of this review) states oil-filled shocks in the photos. This is not true. They are decent spring shocks but not "oil-hydraulic shock absorbers". The two body clips in the back are difficult to access on/off. The plastic battery holder is an interesting design and has some cool factor but not practical. It gets to be a pain real quick. A simple strap would be more than enough. There are no LED lights.All in all, it's a fun entry level runner. I have a replacement that I will test again.Update: (2/27/2021) Test drove a few times now and it's still sluggish off the line. It's like a delayed response gradually picking up speed (controlled launch?) - although in micro seconds I'm sure but you do sense this. And the delayed response can be felt once it's at full speed (after the micro second delayed launch). If you pull the trigger, then let off the trigger (not braking, just letting go of the trigger), it will still be picking up speed. On the other hand, if you gradually pull the trigger, it reacts on point. If you pull slightly and drive slow, it's very smooth. But "pedal to the metal" and it's off-response. It still is fun to drive, just takes some getting used to. And nothing broken yet. Oh, and the clips to hold the body are weak and fly off easily. The battery runs strong and the motor pulls decent. The batteries are not a Li-Po. You get two Li-ion batteries.Enjoy the hobbies

It’s a super fast and smooth control remote car. I like the fact that comes with 2 rechargeable batteries, the only thing I didn’t like it’s that flips over and you will need to go all the way over there to put it back on track. Also this is not for kids, parts are very fragile, do not crash them or drop them. They will break easily. Get the insurance!!

My husband loved it , it’s fast , it’s cool . The I let thing I didn’t like was the the material that makes the body is super flimsy . My dog was chasing it around and destroyed the front with just one playful bite . It made out of super thin plastic . Styrofoam cups are sturdier . The machine is good but the body is not

My kids love, but after only a few days, the outer shell cracked in multiple places from natural uses in grass/driveway.

Great toy to satisfy the common RC user. Pretty quick for a moderately priced RC car.
