Good value for a drum replacement.
I have a Brother HL-2270DW for several years and the drum light came on for the first time, showing almost 0%. I bought this as a much cheaper alternative to the genuine Brother brand (About 1/3 the price) and based on the several good reviews. I am not disappointed. The included instruction sheet is sort of worthless. Installation is straight forward. The only issue was the drum light never went away, but the fix is easy to reset. It is from the Brother website:1. Open the front cover (with printer turned on).2. Take out the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly and reinstall it into the machine. DO NOT close the front cover.3. Press and hold down the GO button for about 4 seconds until all of the LEDs light up. Once all four LEDs are lit, release the GO button.4. Close the front cover.5. Confirm the drum LED is now off.To confirm the status, press the GO button 3 times: It prints the printer status (3 pages) and the last page shows the toner and drum (Drum will be at 100%).Hopefully this drum will last (States about 12,000 pages).Recommend. Thank you.

Box says "Printer Cartridge" not "Printer Drum" and instructions may be wrong for your unit.
This part (called the printer drum) is supposed to be replaced every 12,000 pages or so. The box when it arrived said "Printer Cartridge" which would imply that it's the toner. I almost sent it back unopened until I looked inside and found it was the drum unit NOT a toner cartridge.Replacement it rather straight forward for my printer, open the front cover, remove the drum/toner unit, transfer the toner cartridge to the new drum unit and reinstall the new drum and existing toner unit back into the printer then close the front cover. The instructions included for resetting the drum unit count was incorrect for my printer (brother 2270dw). Check the internet for the correct way to reset the page count.

Works as it's supposed to
Drum unit installed, printed some documents and test pages without any issues. Drum accurately transfers toner to paper. Can't comment on longevity, but typically our OEM drums last 10-15k pages. Will update if it fails more quickly.

Easy Solution to Black Smears
Works perfectly. Received the GREENSKY Drum-Unit Replacement in less than 24 hours. Installation was easy. The unit worked perfectly and my black smears are gone. Hopefully the unit will continue to work as it does now.
