ShimanoSpin Reel Clam

I bought this to replace a 30 year old Daiwa spinning reel that frequently jammed. I first purchased a Diawa replacement reel (Daiwa Crossfire CFLT1000) and it too jammed a few times after casting. I decided to return it a try a different brand. I bought this Shimano IX1000RC model and it works great. I did not want to spend a lot of money, but I needed something lightweight, smooth and both fun and easy to use. This reel is it. I am a not a 'big time' fisherman - I fish for relaxation and the zen of being on quiet river or lake, so I don't need a lot of sophistication in the equipment. Just simple and easy - again, this is it.

The 4000 XI reel works smooth without all the expensive bearings. Very quiet, operates with no friction. Love trigger bail release.Will be used for Michigan northern pikes,wallye, coho and muskie. Like the rear drag dial for quick easy reach.

This is the best reel for the price I've ever owned. The rear drag does not change on its own like most top drags end up doing. I have 3 of them and they are all different sizes.

Je ne l’ai pas encore employé mais je connais très bien ce produit j’en ai un autre depuis 20 ans , ce moulin a un Quick release et comme il sont très rare avec ce gadget j’en ai commandé un avant qu’il disparaisse celui que j’ai est résistant et je suis très satisfait .
