I gave away my Sodastream for this DrinkMate because DrinkMate advertised that you can carbonate more than just water since you can clean the "fizz infuser" or replace it if it gets broken. Although I'm happy that I can carbonate more than water, the quality feels quite different than the Sodastream I had. The CO2 cylinder loosens after every use, so I have to remember to remove the back and screw the CO2 tank tighter before using it again or else the loud sound of CO2 releasing will surprise everyone in your house. Coming from a drink carbonator that automatically pumped CO2 for me, I'm a bit disappointed at how much less carbonation I usually get with each manual pump I have to do with this DrinkMate.For me personally, I feel that Sodastream gave me better habits since I could only carbonate water. With the DrinkMate, I drink more soda and recarbonate when needed, which is great but also not very healthy. I'm sure others' habits differ from mine, but I find myself using this less since the carbonation isn't the greatest for the amount of times I press the button.

Bought this for my boyfriend and he loves it. And I love not having cans all over!

We had a Soda Stream before this and it started leaking the CO2 so we lost a couple of bottles.This unit is so much more versatile. You can actually carbonate white wine if you desire.It's also much more efficient on CO2 as it meters the amount of pressure in the bottle, so your not wasting the gas by overcharging the bottle.I would recommend this product.
