I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba. We have 6 months of cold winter, yearly. Living in an older house,which shifts. I get gaps under doors . Mice get cold in winter and look for warm places to sneak into. This is the best thing to stop mice from coming in ! They detest steel wool ~ probably the only thing they WILL NOT chew on ! This is the remedy to keep them out, very strong and great price to fill the gaps! Wonderful product!

It doesn't scratch from my experience. We used it specifically on the chrome on our antique car bumpers and trim. We had hoped to bring back a shine, but it will take more than just steel wool. It does however nicely remove surface rust and oxidation, so it's good at cleaning. I suggest using a spray cleaner on the metal first however to remove oils and such, then it's a much better result using the steel wool.

I sometimes come across baseboards that are impossible to clean. Id try all sorts of cleaning supplies including magic eraser. Finally I discovered these and WOW, I am mindblown. Baseboards looking brand brand new. They rust quickly so cut them up into small pieces to last long. always test in an inconspicuous area first.Great for door marks too.
