This is a collection of sets of card geared at various diagnostic categories. It presents skills based scenarios for problem solving that children or teens are to respond to . It does not offer an array of skills to draw from so this might be used as an adjunct to practice skills already learned in therapy. The cards are specifically related to diagnostic/symptom issues of each of the groups mentioned: Asperger's, Anxiety, BiPolar Disorder, ADHD or Depression. I think it may be useful in small rehab groups or therapy groups to practice skills in action as many of the questions are related to social interactions and development of coping skills.

I have used this game when working with Children for years. I was excited to see that there are different cards to go with or without the board. The only "criticism" I have about the game is the name. Children generally do not want to play the "Social & Emotional Competence game".

Definitely for grade school age kids. They can understand these questions & it helps them look outside the box. My clients love it!

This is going to be a fantastic game to utilize in counseling sessions with children struggling with social behavior!
