Review: Great book to build up from the foundations. - Simple yet effective tips to get the basics right. Bought this so that I could help my son to improve his technique and it didnโt disappoint! Review: Excellent book but to call it a Bible is an exaggeration - It's an excellent book by one of the foremost coaches and authorities in coaching fast bowling However to call it a Bible of fast bowling is an exaggeration The author makes some excellent points about maximising pace&accuracy simultaneously via correct action. He has some good drills and suggestions too towards getting a good action. However it lacks on several other areas...fitness..diet...identifying and correcting flaws...what to coach and what to leave alone It wastes precious pages on explaining basics of swing and grip which today is far better explained on YouTube by several great fast bowlers Overall i would still say that it's a book you must read...but wish it delivered more comprehensively on the promise the title makes

Easy to learn but its still a book
Fast bowling cannot be improved by reading a book. Nevertheless it will tell you how things should be done. At the end of the day, you need somebody to watch your action or you need to record it on a continuous basis to enable corrective action. A very good read, but be real and you will see results if you work with somebody who has read the book.
