Taste just like Dole whip served at pineapple plantation in Hawaii
It would be nice if they added instruction to make smaller portions than mixing the whole bag at once. Had to do a little math to determine the mix ratio for a small home ice cream maker. Other than that, it tastes great and is a very good mix.

Tastes Great. Easy to Make.
Tastes just like what you get at Dole Plantation or Disneyland/WDW. Easy to make at home with a ratio of 3 oz water to 1 oz of mix; stir to dissolve, pour into ice cream maker and churn until desired consistency. A little expensive? Maybe. But it's cheaper than disney, and with the bold flavor a little goes a long ways.

All the taste without the wait!
Are you FN kidding me? I and many tourists stand in line for nearly 45 minutes to get a taste of the famous dole whip at the dole plantation here on the island of Oahu in Hawaii. I add this mix plus cold water that I had in the refrigerator into my KitchenAid ice cream attachment, and in 10 minutes I am enjoying this cool sweet frosty treat. To be a little bit fancy, I ladled some into a cake frosting piping bag and put it into the freezer to thicken up in order to make it look like it came out of a restaurant machine. (see picture) I have also heard this rare treat is available at Disneyland and Disney World and the mainland. And now you can make the exact same thing right in your kitchen without having to wait in line for 45 minutes or travel to expensive theme parks.

Tasty even without pineapple juice
Have the GreenPan soft serve machine. Since there are only two of us, didn't need a large batch of soft serve. Found an online recipe using only 1 cup of Dole mix and 3 cups of water. It was for the orange Dole mix (which I also have), so I used this recipe for the pineapple mix. Instead of the 3 cups of water, I used only 2 cups plus one cup of whole milk. Turned out great and tasty! Still too much soft serve mix for two people, so had to freeze the leftover portion. One thing that bothered me (and thus only 4 stars) is that the package received was labeled "Dole Pineapple FLAVORED Soft Serve Mix". A review of the ingredients on this package didn't list pineapple juice, while the Dole Pineapple Soft Serve Mix (that didn't say FLAVORED) shown on this Amazon listing did have it. I suppose I could add some of my own, but for the price I paid for this package it should have been included as an ingredient. And the Amazon listing should be updated to reflect what you are actually getting.

Better than expected. Easy to mix. Freezes well in my soft serve machine. Disneyland serves this. This is the same quality.

It really works.
This plus a regular ice cream maker (I got the 1.5 qt Cuisinart ICE-21 just for this) produces perfect Dole whip, no need for a specialized soft serve machine. If you want to get fancy with a swirl, you could always pipe it out with a pastry bag or just a plastic bag with a corner cut off. I tried a recipe from youtube, with 1.33c powder mixed into 0.5qt (2c) water, then adding more water to total 1qt. This was a tiny bit too sweet IMO. Still good, but I liked the results from the included instructions, with 7/8c powder into 2.75c cold water. A few tips/notes: - When mixing the powder + water, I found reserving some of the water to add towards the end helped mix a tiny bit better, helping to get rid of little clumps. So add 7/8c powder into 2c water, whisk, then add 0.75c water, and whisk again. That's more akin to the official full bag instructions (add bag to 1 gallon cold water in a bucket, whisk, then add water up to 2 gallon line). - The longer you let it run in the ice cream machine, the firmer it gets. I found about 20-25 minutes to my liking - it's a tiny bit on the dense side, but by the time you scoop it out and serve it, it's just right. It felt a bit dense and slightly gummy when I went up to 30 minutes. Note that it does expand in volume too, but at the numbers I mentioned, it didn't overflow (though it does rise above the rim of the spinning bowl). - It starts off a darkish yellow, but as it mixes and aerates, it becomes a more pale yellow, like you get in Disney/Hawaii. The people complaining about it being too yellow or icy probably just didn't let it run long enough. If you want it "just like Disney/Hawaii", it's non-dairy there since they follow the instructions and just add water, so no need to add milk. However, if you want to tune it to your personal preferences, knock yourself out.
