Peter & Ernesto: A Tale of Two Sloths

Un pochino lungo da leggere prima di dormire, noi lo abbiamo letto in due sere la prima volta - da li' poi non l'ho piu' letto io, ma l'ha sfogliato da solo il bimbo - che a 4 anni ancora non legge, ma adora sfogliare i libri. La storia è divertente letta a voce alta, soprattutto perché i personaggi vengono chiamati a voce alta ed è divertente "recitare" il libro.

This is my 4th grade daughter's favorite book. She reads it constantly.

I love reading to my 2 1/2 and 4 year old sons before bed. Unfortunately, they’re not always the best behaved when it comes to staying seated and listening (even when they honestly want to hear a story/are genuinely engaged in a story). However, this book REALLY caught their attention. I didn’t have to struggle to keep them from getting up and straying or getting distracted. I don’t know if they paid more attention because of how much fun I personally had reading this to them? I mean, I really went to town with it - making different voices for each individual character (even when it was a group of the same animal), and I sang every time the sloth named Peter broke out in to song (which, unexpectedly, made my 4 year old giggle uncontrollably every time). But even if it was because of that, I think that gives the author even more credit, to have created a book that so engages parents, that it makes the storytelling even better for the children. Our family of five LOVES books; our sons have more books than toys (and they have a lot of toys), but this book really stands out from the rest. I didn’t hesitate to order the two follow up books in the series, and can only hope the author reads his reviews and writes another one.

This is the best little book, it's funny and touching, great from age 4 and up. The two slots are so relatable. They are very different and want different things in life but they are still best friends and help and support each other. They see and experience everything differently, a valuable life lesson and reinforcement of their friendship. Highly recommend for everybody, five hearts❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We have all these books and they're so fun. My son can read them independently and we read them together. I love the silliness of them
