Rite Edge 9" Railroad Spike Cleaver – Carbon Steel Blade with Twisted Handle and Leather Sheath

Looks nice as a gift and I can see great potential.

Would've been nice if they offered customization, but they didn't. It was a gift for a buddy. He loves it and plans to use it while hunting.

This piece has great weight, looks good, and it is the real deal. I am very happy with this purchase, would love to see what else this company has to offer.

The knife itself is impressive. The straps on the sheath dont quiet fit and the one that does it to tight it doesnt stay snapped.

Loved the style of this knife. Bought as a gift. Blade needs a good sharpening & it comes covered in oil, I assume to protect the metal. The case is is decent leather, a bit tricky to snap shut but should wear in with use. The recipient loved it.

The cleaver itself great, workmanship on sheath poor. One snap had come apart the other was about to.

This is my go to tool around my property. Part knife, part axe, part cleaver it handles any situation

Comes well wrapped in preservative grease. The sharpness is more a working edge than a slicing edge. Being steel, you have to treat it as such. Being a solid tool/chopper/knife, you must feel free to use it as such. This may be cool as a display piece but I will not be afraid to use it as a tool to chop, pry, hammer or even throw. You can tell this was meant to be used, taking an old school approach to making it just like knives made from old files. I cant see it breaking.

Amazing little retirement gift for a buddy at work as we are track workers it did have a really oily substance that I really had to scrub off and needs a good sharpening.
