it doesn't zoom in or out, nice and bright but no zoom

For those using the Li Ion 18650 cell (which is about 25% brighter than the AAA cell option), there is no heat or amp draw protection. Its basically a straight switch.

Q: Can I buy a replacement switch for this model?

Q: Is it better to use 1 x 3.7v 18650 battery or 3x aaa battery

The LED chip is rated at 10 watts. There is no way that 3xAAA (1.5 volt) batteries can produce that, maybe 5 watts because AAA batteries are limited to about 1 amp of current. The 18650 battery can easily supply 10 watts to the chip. Also the 18650 battery stores around 13 watt-hours of energy. 3 high quality AAA batteries are only going to store a total of 5.4 watt-hours.
