The Best!
My husband is a heavy duty diesel mechanic and had a pair of these for quite a few years. His got taken and we had been looking for another pair to replace the ones he had. Finally found them on Amazon. We ordered one pair to make sure they were the same and they were, so then we ordered another pair for back up. He loves them!

Neat tool
Works good on pipe as advertised. 1/2 black iron good but probably couldn't handle 3/4

Big, Strong, doesn't slip
What more can I say than my headline. These are BIG pliers (over a foot long), that grab nuts and bolts (even rounded ones) with a no-slip grip, as well as working pretty well as a pipe wrench (probably work as well as any 12" pipe wrench I have used).Other pluses would be that it has a lifetime rivet, that in my experience stays tight better than the bolt they used to use at the hinge, and it has a beefed up 'channellock' (tongue and groove jaw opening adjustment) in that it has two tongues that grab 2 grooves, instead of the standard one, which is probably a good idea on pliers this large. Also, unlike many bargain pliers, the handles on these feel stout, and not at all mushy or springy.About the only negative I have to say about them, would be that they don't work real well on smaller fasteners (they make smaller versions for that) and that they chew up the bolt head or nut you are using them on. I don't consider that a big deal, because by the time you resort to these, your regular wrench probably slipped already, anyway. On pipes, if you really have to put a lot of force on them, they will not slip, but I think the teeth may mar the pipe a bit more than a standard pipe wrench. A small price to pay, in my opinion, compared to having them slip.

Work when nothing else does.
What I have to say about these can be easily summed up in one sentence: These have yet to slip on any nut or bolt I have tried them on, no matter how rounded. They call them 'nutbusters', and I can see why. If you get the jaws properly clamped on a nut or bolt, they are not going to slip. They may twist the bolt off, or you may not have the brute strength to loosen it, but they have not slipped yet. The downside is that you need pretty good access to the fastener to get a proper grip on it, and the jaws are so aggressive, they will chew up whatever you grab like a dog chews on a soda can, but if nothing else seems to work, these should do it. They also make an excellent no-slip pipewrench, but with the same problem of overly-aggressively jaws that can chew it up if it is really stubborn.

Gets You OUT of a Bind
I bought this in Oct. '18 because I read a review that said this could pay for itself in one use. Today was the first time I used it and it more than paid for itself. This tool succeeded where my Knipex 12" cobras could not, when vice grips could not. The 410 is a specialized tool that will save the day for you when the time comes. I hope I do not need this again, but if so, the 410 is up to the job.

Awesome
Had a pair for 30 years. Had a fire and this was one of the first tools I replaced. I have bought all my children this set of pliers. I bought these when I worked for a Caterpillar dealer, and all mechanics there had them. Definitely a go to tool. I have even used a cheater pipe to remove cylinder head studs. Nothing better!
