OLIVINA MENConditioning Shave Cream, Bourbon Cedar, 6.5 fl. oz.

Been a user of Olivina Conditioning Shaving Cream for years and was having a tough time finding it locally. So I ordered two. With the Olivina package, they all look pretty similar. Yet, while the plastic around the two that arrived said "Conditioning," I went to shave and wondered what I got as what was supposed to be a thick cream came out as a clear gel. So I flipped it over and saw that this was not "Conditioning" but "Flash Foam." I tried it, thinking that Olivina made other good shaving gel. About half way through the shave, my face started to feel odd, like it was having an allergic reaction and then the skin on my lips started coming off. I've never felt like that before. I quickly got the shave done and I am returning ASAP. Went to Google to find any reviews on "olivina flash foam" and the second link that came up was a guy who had the same reaction. Not sure what's in it but it might be dangerous.

This is the first shave cream I have ever tried since I liked other products in this line, I gave it a try.I don't find the scent nearly as good as the body wash or the conditioner, not even close.I didn't find this was very hard to get out of the tube as others have stated, it was rather easy and I just swished some around my bowl and began.It does take a rather liberal amount to work and it also takes a fair amount of water to build up a lather and there is a very fine line between just enough water and too much.I did build a lather and I did shave with it and I was unimpressed. It protected my face but it wasn't very slick and my razor did not glide at all, I even had to put a little force into my shave.My skin was smooth and soft, no complaints there.

I've bought The Oivina Shaving Cream for years now. Before I ordered the 3 pack I read reviews by others other websites that said the quality control had gone down with new management. I ordered anyway as it had always been a great product. I should have returned this purchase. I had trouble getting the cream out with the first tube even after taking the cap completely off. What came out was separated into a white goo and an oily substance. I kept thinking it was just settled and would eventually get better. I was wrong I finally gave up after I could only get half of the contents out. I opened up that second tube over the weekend. Its contents are exactly the same. In order to get anything out, I put the tube against the shower wall and lean my arm into it. Needless to say, I will move to another product.

I have been through a few tubes of this, and it usually lathers well, smells nice, lubricates well and rinses well. I bought two tubes in mid-April but just got around to opening them today, June 1st., having squeezed the last of old tube out yesterday. This batch does not lather well and it is very hard to rinse away. I have to wash my face thoroughly after shaving to get most of it off! Maybe too much oil or grease in the mix?

I did not receive Olivina shave crème. I received Barrel and Oak shave crème. After very close inspection of the fine print, I found they are the same barcode product with very different packaging but same distributor! It would be nice to know that in advance. I almost returned it.
