It's not leafy green like a plant but more of a subdued teal or aqua blue-green.

Q: Is the heat resistance able to withstand having a hot mocha pot placed on them immediately off the stove?

They are heat resistant. I use my coasters for hot coffee as well as cold drinks that sweat. They're made of the same silicone that my oven mitts are.

Q: Do they fit in car holders?

We use them n the house and are very satisfied. I do not think it would fit in the average car cup holder.
