A must-read book!
The Golden Thread by Ann Copeland—if you want to get off the fast bullet train we are all on and have peace and quiet and a good read, get this book. That’s not to say there is no action, because there is—the action is just not car chases! Each chapter is a a stand-alone story, but the stores are sequential and can be read as a novel about a girl, Claire Delaney, who enters the convent and emerges about eleven years later as a woman. The first story is about her unique musical talent and relationship with her music teacher, a nun. In the convent she tells about what the ‘discipline’ instrument is—a mild self-flagellation ritual. Another chapter is told from the POV of Sister Gertrude, her friend, who is about to celebrate her fifty years as a nun, and the startling information she finds out about Sister Claire. A beautiful book, beautifully written, making each scene come alive as though watching a movie. Highly recommended. Gay Toltl Kinman

Not recommended.
One of the stories was good. The rest were boring. Lots of religion.

Absolutely wonderful!
A prismatic collection of stories that chronicles the spiritual jouney of one woman, moving from Catholic high school to the convent and back to the 'world'. An extraordinary piece of work, the truth of which will speak to any spiritual woman, no matter her tradition.
