I'm looking for a rock hammer for my 7 yr daughter. Going to look for Herkimer diamonds. Would this work and hold up?

I don’t own this hammer 🔨 but I am looking for the exact same purpose. I have other Estwing rock hammers and was hoping to find a “junior rock hammer” as well. From what I can tell this is the same steel, has the same hammer head, just a different shorter and slightly different pick end. There’s no reason it wouldn’t work. It’s lighter, shorter, and less pointy. Seems to fit the bill for kid rock hammer uses. Otherwise just get the 13oz rock hammer they offer.

I just received my 12 oz hammer and the square face isn't perfectly square. The right side is about 1 mm taller than the left side. Is this normal?

To be honest when I purchase a sheet metal hammer I look it over real quick to make sure there's no cracks in the hammer. Outside of that I put it in my tool pouch and use it when I need it for the day. If your concern that your not pleased with the hammer I suggest you contact the manufacturer to have it sent back or even replace for a new one.

Qualität enttäuschend

Eigentlich ist der Hammer sehr schön von der Optik , dem Griff und dem Handling. Leider aber ist die Verarbeitung der Schlagflächen wirklich schlecht und unpräzise d.h. keine winklige Verarbeitung sowie unsymetrische Finne und ungleichen Kantenanschliff. Wirklich schade aber für den Preis einfach ungenügend.
