Suppressed, Rejected, Ignored
There are good stories here. None are covered in full, but the footnotes could lead a person closer to a thorough understanding of an issue such as what Bradley Manning said to justify his release of classified documents to Wikileaks. Of course, many of the notes refer to the backwater press, little-known websites, and blogs --- where so many good stories can be found. There are broader themes here, too. Stone and Kuznick's quote "Americans believe that they are unbound by history" is a good lead-in to several controversial topics covered in Section III. A few stories hit on what this reviewer considers to be very minor controversial matters --- interesting only to a minority of readers.

Great source of news coverage
You'd be surprised at how many important news stories are ignored or censored by the press This book serves a valuable resource in keeping you informed and updated. Every library should have a copy of the Censored .....series, the better informed a citizen leads to intelligent decision making at the ballot box.

Censored News Stories
Anyone who values broadening his or her worldview should read the censored news stories within this book. It really makes you question why the corporate media chooses not to inform the public with stories such as these that could effect change if public awareness reached critical mass. Who controls the gatekeepers to the information?

This book fails to provide a good critique. It is not worth reading nor the ...
Awful. Full of characterizations and over-generalizations. They would highlight a "censored story" and talk about how various main stream outlets were, to them, not covering a topic at all or not "in depth." One in particular was egregious. They highlighted the "Kill-the-Gays" bill in Uganda and said that there was a dearth of coverage in the media. MSNBC, a major outlet by every standard, has been covering this story since at least 2009. The New York Times would also cover this, all with more depth than this book provided. There are legitimate complaints to make about the media today. This book fails to provide a good critique. It is not worth reading nor the paper it is printed on.

Hidden news revealed
When almost everything we see, read or hear is controlled by vast corporations whose prime interest is making more more for the super rich, books like this are like as oasis in the desert of pseudo-information. Anyone who wants to think seriously about what is happening to the world we live in should read this.

A good book but sometimes they go into too much detail
A good book but sometimes they go into too much detail. Disappointed that they didn't see that Global Warming is a hoax.
