I got these to wear inside my stocking foot chest waders that I wear daily for my job at a self wash dog wash. In Alaska! (The dog owners wash their own dogs. I just do clean up after.) You wouldn't think that I would get so wet, but the dogs like to share by shaking all over me, or I get an unusually messy station. Whatever the reason, I would frequently have cold wet feet inside my waders and would be miserable for the rest of the day.Now that's a thing of the past. The trick is to wear wool socks as a base layer, then the waterproof socks. If I wear the socks on their own, my feet sweat enough that my toes get cold. Also, make sure that your pants legs cover the top of the socks. If you are truly subjected to water from above, not just seepage through shoes, you will need a barrier to water pouring over the top of the socks, and thus INTO the socks. That happened the first time I wore them, but not since I pulled my leggings over the top. I have women's size 10.5-11 feet, but size up to 12's when you add in the wool hiking socks. I bought these socks in large and they fit just great. A little loose before I added the base layer.I rinse them out, pull them inside out, and air dry. They are much nicer than plain neoprene socks, which didn't work at all for me. I love them enough to order a 2nd pair!

Thickness adds a substantial amount of warmth that turns a pair of mediocre shoes into a superior water proof, cost saving shoe. Outstanding.

They came quick just in time basement flooded above my boot but these socks kept my feet dry! They were worth every penny!

These feel great so far. I just received them yesterday so I haven't had time to test the waterproof of them but they feel very comfortable and warm as it is 22deg this morning.

These socks were an excellent purchase. They kept my feet dry and provided an ample cushion for a very long hike. I highly recommend.

These things are actually water proof. I bought these because my winter boots had a defect and I couldn't wear them. Looking at basically a 30° rainstorm for a 10 hour workshift every day of the week, I needed a quick solution while I waited for a new pair of boots. I wore these socks in my summer mesh boots and my feet were the only dry and warm part of my body after that first day. Right there I was committed to buying a pair for everyday of the week.Unfortunately when I got home and took my boot off I noticed my toe peeking out of the sock. I only got to use them once until they were ruined. It's a small hole and it might sound like I'm overreacting, but that hole compromises the whole effectiveness of the product itself. My complaint is that this is a very expensive sock and for it to tear on boot friction alone on the first wear is kind of ridiculous.I'll meet in the middle ground on this review since the sock might not be designed for the heavy work I do. Not for nothing the care for this sock is rather involved so it seems like something that needs to be taken care of gently.

My son works inside of the water in a green house. He said his feet were dry all day (12 hour shift)! Amazed and grateful! He also said - that they are comfortable! :)

Cheap, comfortable, and waterproof!

Product is good and exactly as described but carriage charges and high cost after selecting are a problem to watch.

the sock is not full immer waterproof, feet will still get wet on the inside.

I bought these for my son for lobster fishing. He was impressed and asked me to buy 2 more pairs. Worth the money!! Setting out day done and he did not have sore feet.
