I like that they work in the right conditions; i.e., not too windy. I dislike that it's hard to tell if they're working and if they quit working. The absence of pests is one way, of course, but often come and go.BTW, these work in both my older and newer models of Off! Clip-ons; with one they go in one way, with the other they go upside down—this isn't noted anywhere I saw.You just have to figure it out.

During the summer months whenever I'm sitting in my sister's backyard or on my terrace it's like ringing the dinner bell! I get bitten from head to toe. I hate it. I've been using this product for many years and I have to say that once I turn on my Off Clip On I have never been bitten. Not once and no exaggeration.

I despise putting spray bug repellent directly on my skin! I’ve tried all the lemongrass and natural remedies. Mosquitoes love my blood. They are I’ll bite me in the face if I’m completely covered, and I live in NJ so there’s no escaping them. The Off Clip On works every time for me. If the bugs are really bad…I where one on my shoulder and one on the opposite hip. They work! I love them. I want to try the wrist band (hope it’s big enough for my ankle too!)

These things actually work very well. I live on a pond in South Carolina and we have mosquitos that drive us off the deck around 7 pm. With these, we are able to stay on our deck with no problems. Interestingly enough, these do not use deet. You can't really smell them at all. I looked up the chemical on Wikipedia and found out that it works well on mosquitoes, but not so well on other insects. Since mosquitos are our main issue, we're very happy with it. The active ingredient is "metofluthrin" which is a vapor. Be aware that there are two different sizes of Off Clip-Ons. The newer clip-ons will not use this refill. So, if your clip-on is the "new design" then don't buy this one. Ours is the old design, so this works just fine.These give us the same level of protection from mosquitoes as deet, and much more protection than citronella candles, etc., without all the mess.One note, if you are walking through tall grass, etc., you should still use deet, instead of these, since these will not protect against ticks, chiggers, etc.

Not sure if others are having trouble; these fit fine. No bites so far. Yes, there is no long a window to show you how much remains, so you need to keep track. I notice that the white area in the center of the refill (where the air blows through) gets darkened by what I estimate to be 12 hours or so of use. So, you could just take a peek at that.

I hate putting chemicals on my skin or breathing in fumes from aerosols, etc. These are PERFECT for me and work very well as I tromp around wooded cemeteries taking headstone pics for FindAGrave.

We have the old style of these and these refills work perfect just can't see how much is left through the little window

I clip this on for yard work. Simpler and easier than spraying myself.
