Damn good value for excellent performances
I approached this set with something of a sense of caution: the Bowie necrophilia industry has gone into overdrive over the past year, in much the same way as happened with Lou Reed and Marc Bolan. Indeed the latter once said that he could release a forty-two album set of him f**ting in the bath and someone would buy it! However, here my caution was unjustified. Being recorded for radio broadcast, presumably in the very near future, the music has that rough and ready feel, with one instrument or another sometimes dominating (cymbals especially, but also lead guitar and backing vocals on occasion). The band is well-rehearsed and David himself, ever the showman, seems to be in good spirits. Even though there are up to four versions of the same song spread over the six hours of music here, there's sufficient variation in approach to make the entire box a pleasure (I put the lot onto an mp3 player to listen to on shuffle which makes for a great afternoon/evening).I'm not too keen on the Warhol-like idea of the disc labels, and I'm sufficiently OCD for it to be irritated by the fact that the colours don't match up with the primary and secondary colours, either in content or order. The sleeve notes probably took less time to write than this review. The other detail I don't like is the overall title of the set and the subtitles for each of the pair of three disc sets: We Could be Heroes and Major Tom's a Junkie. And the word "Legendary" is becoming seriously overworked: these concerts aren't legendary - they happened and now they're available on CD. At £15 for six discs, representing just under six hours of music, you can't go wrong.PS: always a delight to hear White Light/White Heat!

Great Performances - Great Value!
Opening on the 4th March 1990, The Sound+Vision World Tour took in twenty-two countries and produced one hundred and seven performances. The band consisted of: David Bowie (vocals, guitar, saxophone), Adrian Belew (lead guitar), Michael Hodges (drums), Erdal Kizilcay (bass) and Rick Fox (keyboards). Superior sound quality must be pre-fm sound board. Amazing collection. If you are a Fan of Bowie or Guitarist Adrian Belew don`t pass this by. Nice foldout package and free downloadable 120 page Bowie book as added bonus.

Sound & Vision Tour Box Set
6 CDs from the often, and imho unfairly criticised by Bowie fans Sound & Vision tour from the Latin American section of the tour and Tokyo Japan. I've only listened to the first 3 discs, Tokyo and Rio up to now but can confirm the sound quality is pretty good. Not far off an official release standard tbh, excellent for a bootleg release. I will report back on the final 3 discs once Iv'e listened to them, but at the moment the first 3 discs are worth the price of admission alone and £15.00 for 6 discs is a bargain price.I've given this box set 4 stars because totally wrong art work has been used. Surely a box containing S+V tour material deserves the proper images of Bowie from that tour to be used? Someone hasn't done their homework here which spoils this release. Does it matter? Yes it does! Having said all that, the sound quality is generally worthy of 5 stars.Edit / Update. Discs 4&5 Chile sound great, disc 6 Argentina sounds ok but is mono and not as crisp sounding as the others but still perfectly listenable.Summary. It's a bootleg at the end of the day, if you want to be picky you can pick faults if you really want to. Until an official polished up release from the S+V tour appears this is great especially for the price of £15.00, its just a shame about the wrong artwork used.Edit / Update 2. For information there is a better fault free quality version of S+V Argentina within the Transmission Impossible CD set

The Starman on great form.
I was delightfully surprised by the quality of these shows. Sound is excellent, but I should have guessed this as they are produced by Coda Records who have produced fine boxes of other artists such as ACDC. Shows do have some different songs played but many are reproduced but who cares when you have an artist like Mr Bowie. Go on treat yourself and make a purchase. If you bought these as bootlegs you would be paying three or four times the price.

Finally three fantastic concerts in a single box at a low price
Finally three fantastic concerts in a single box at a low price. The sound is prefect because at the time they were transmitted to the radio. This makes the box composed of six CDs an object that any fan must have in his collection.

Great box set great seller
Being a massive Bowie fan this is a must. Really fast delivery too. It was here well before the estimated time of arrival. I haven't listened to the whole lot yet but so far I am well impressed.

Bargain.
Very good value for shows that have been heavily bootleged on the past. They are the hits but that was the period Bowie was in.Enjoy them. I have.

Bowie tornava all'essenziale e ritornava con i suoi classici.
