On the back of the book it is mentioned that "every copy includes a detachable eye chart " and on the front it is mentioned too, but nothing is enclosed.

間違いなく、2014年、最も大きな影響を受けた本です。 小学4年の時にメガネをかけ始め、それからずっと、どうして僕の目はどんどん勝手に悪くなっていくのだろうと思っていました。 大人になって、どうして視力の良い女の人とはそこまでドロドロしたことにならないのだろう、と気づいたときは衝撃でした。 視力の低下は、適切でない思考に起因し、それが緊張を生む。そしてそれが視力となって顕在化する。 本書に書かれていることは、たったこれだけのことです。 さまざまなワーク、医者としての臨床例が多数書かれてありますが、全てを理解し行う必要はないのだとも書かれています。 ただ一つだけの大事なことは、リラックスを得ることだと。やってみて、自分に合わないものは緊張を生むだけなので即やめること。 最初はぶっ飛んだことが書かれているように感じましたが、やってみて、体得できれば当たり前すぎて、でもやっぱり、この本に書かれていることを知らずに生きるのは勿体ない。 当たり前、自然に生きるというのが、いかに難しくなってしまったのかがよくわかります。 ベイツさんの死後80年以上経つようですが、彼のメソッドが脈々と受け継がれているのもわかる気がします。 どうしてメガネ、コンタクトに頼らないと生きていけない社会になってしまったのかも少しわかってきました。 最後に、僕の本質的な視力回復のきっかけとなった2文です。 Concentration means to do or think one thing only - but this is impossible, and an attempt to do the impossible is a strain.
