you are correct. It is more of a taupe shade. Apparently that must've been a typo in your cart where they typed an M rather than a C for custard. But it is a taupey/neutral tone. Hope that helps.

I love these sandals and as I wear 7.5 in sketchers sneakers and an 8 in some shoes, always buy size 7. They are a perfect fit. With not too much hanging from the back. I would say 1/2 size smaller would be fine.

I just measured the pair I'm wearing and it's actually BETWEEN 1.75 and 2 inches! Such comfortable shoes, Yellow Box is the only brand I wear.
