Easy install and seems to work
We have well water and alot of lime and calcium build up on our appliance and shower heads and glass. I installed this and cleaned everything up around a month ago and so far so good.I have a sediment filter pre- holding tank, then this after the tank, the a carbon filter after this. I've seen no decrease in pressure and it seems to be working great.I have had plumbing experience in my younger years so it was a super easy install. The mounting bracket could benefit from being a heavier gage. But I braced it up nicely and it's all good. This was a good find. It doesn't change any smell if you have that in your water. But it does what it was intended to do which is drastically cut down on mineral build up on faucets and shower heads and appliances. Also the water tastes better. I recommend this product.

No more Chlorine showers, Great taste
These are easy to install, with some normal mechanical ability, which most men should have. Had to purchase 1 inch to 3/4 inch pex reducer to attach Pex Lines Directly to filter canisters, which seem to have no reduction in Flow whatsoever. The only issue is the amount of Teflon tape needed to install fittings, you need a lot .. with the extra Tape it seems to work well I installed the same system in my house 2 years ago with no leaks. This system with the Polyphasphate and Carbon Block filters is AWESOME. Absolutely no Chlorine smell or taste at all, plus no more itchy skin after the Chlorine showers. The Polyphasphate Filter actually reduces water hardness, we have extremely hard water. Don't like water softeners or all the salt Plus you can water plants inside and out with good clean water. You can drink from any faucet in the house To change filters is easy and use Food grade grease on the threads and especially on the "O" ring I put a metal bracket at angle to support Stainless mounting bracket, I have done that on all my installations. These Filters have been a GREAT value, and GREAT PRODUCT.. . Strongly recommend this product just me and wife and change Carbon Block and Polyphasphate filters every 10 months. Go by water usage it's in your water bill if in city These are a must have on any system

Very good filter system with a couple flaws
I purchased this single stage filter in addition to the 3-stage system. I have scale issues so I wanted the PHO filter, but I still wanted GAC and ACB. With the 4th stage added, my filter element order is SED, PHO, GAC, ACB.The single stage filter housing also suffers from over-boring of the 1 inch NPT inlet/outlet ports. The 1 inch NPT x 3/4 inch PEX barb adapters nearly bottomed out in the housing. For NPT installation, there should always be 1-2 visible threads after installation. I used three wraps of PTFE (like I used on the 3-stage housing) but the single stage housing did not leak. For now, the gauge is indicating system pressure. (Only one of the three gauges on my 3--stage filter is working.)The "L" bracket is rather flimsy. It sagged while the filter assembly was empty and it really sagged once full of water. I used a foam block from the packaging to wedge between the wall and the filter cover. The bracket needs to be stronger- perhaps a brace between the X & Y axis or simply a stronger material.
