These seem to gunk up very quickly...
I've had to replace these every year or so - and our water is quite clean. We use carbon water filters for all water coming into the house and replace them more often that recommended. No other fixture in the house has issues - just this flapper! The last replacement actually had the small disc that sits in the hole fall out, which created "interesting" flushing issues. But the seal on these seem to build up a film that eventually causes slow leaking and intermittent filling of the tank. There must be a better solution!
