I had used these filters in my two Gaggia Brera machines successfully in the past, but the ones provided in my last order will not pass enough water to keep the machine's water pump primed. Prior filters could be soaked and tapped to remove the internal air pockets, these would never fully fill with water no matter what I tried. I thought my pump would fail given how hard it worked to pump on those few times I could get it to work at all. Very unhappy with the current product. Looks identical - but not the same as prior shipments. I can't recommend this product.

We have a Siemens EQ9 Fully-Automated coffee machine that was purchased in Germany, and decided to order these water filters. Twice now, I have installed a new filter per the manufacturer guidelines, and the machine has come up with an error message that I need to remove the filter/use still (not carbonated) water. This is only an issue with the filter, not with the machine itself. Unfortunately, the only way to clear the message is to use ANOTHER new filter (so I am having to use two separate filters per filter change), and it also wastes coffee beans, which are expensive. I thought it was a one-off situation, but it happened again yesterday. I will be reporting to Amazon, too. When the filters work, they work well, but it's not consistent!

I ignored a few reviews like this because the majority were good. I followed directions to soak filter for 30 mins, tapped away all air bubbles I could find while inserted in water tank (not to get bubbles). It worked for 5-6 brews and then started straining the pump. The brew took longer and then stopped dispensing water. My machine kept asking me to "Ventilate" the water. I took it out, use filtered water from fridge again... it works like normal without it.
