Most boots are standard, the issue is if you cannot remove the the half shaft don’t do it. The tool to tighten the stainless steel straps is also needed.

Will this fit on a Daihatsu hijet front CV axle?

Yes it will Fit, but I don't recommend this product because the one I bought broke about a month from the initial install.

Shouldn’t these boots last longer than a couple months?? Terrible product!

They do last more than a couple months , the only way they become damaged is by improper installation , you must use a boot tool to stretch over the joint . Also possible defective boot you may have got .
