Just what I needed
I bought this for my jamming guitar and the one I use to play around the house. For my professional guitar I use a much more expensive setup. As others said, a great value for the price. I replaced the full set of pots and pickups that was completely worn out on my 1972 strat with this set. I could have just dropped it right into place of the old pick guard and it would have fit perfectly, but I didn't like the drab looking yellow pick guard color. I bought this for the electrical parts and swapped them into my pearl pick guard instead, and tossed out the yellow one that came with it. Took me about 45 minutes to replace everything and solder it to the output jack. If I had just dropped it in place as purchased then it would have taken only about 15 minutes to wire it up to the jack. The pots are low profile and should fit into any guitar cavity and they turn smoothly with just enough resistance to not accidentally move when playing. The 5 position switch is a nice improvement over my original 3 position switch to allow various combinations of the pickups to be selected for slightly different tonal effects. Guitar sounds fine and has a little bit of a high tint sound with these pickups, however, I can get whatever sound I want anyway with the various effects pedals I have. There is zero hum coming out of this set, but then again, I don't used a hard wire system. I use a remote Line6 wireless setup. And yes, I was a professional musician. Know this stuff well. Recommend this set for an average quality strat.

Very Nice for the Price.
Very good value! Purchased to upgrade a cheap Squire I picked up at the pawn shop which had a bad tone pot and a very dirty pick guard The pots are small compared to the factory pots but I decided to try them before replacing with higher quality. They are actually pretty good and the volume kicks in at 2 just like my more expensive Fender Strat. The Alnico V pickups sound awesome and the 5 way switch has a nice solid click feel. I am very happy with the whole setup. Be aware that the holes in the pickguard may not line up if you have a Squire and I knew this when I purchased it. I just filled the holes that didn't line up with a match stick dipped in a little wood glue and then carefully drilled new holes where needed. Very easy and its a solid fit.

Pretty awesome
The pros: It sounds awesome for the money. Installation was a breeze. Parts look and feel quality. Cons: Doesn’t fit old squire hole pattern Gonna need some setup, because the neck pick up is SUPER loud compared to other two. Overall this thing rocks for the money. It took a 50 dollar guitar and made it sound much better. Is it going to make you sound like John Mayer? No. But it’s worth every cent they charge.

Loaded SSS pickguard, alnico V mag's
I ordered this for a junk-caster build and thought I would report. The price is great, the wiring, presentation, packaging, etc... dinky pots but otherwise, great! I did change the pickguard and knobs, just personal preference. As for the sound, I would NOT recommend if you are looking for a spanky, telecaster, clean sound, but that doesn't mean they are bad and I already have another strat for that. I had to play around with these pickups a little bit to get what I was looking for, same as any guitar. They were a little muddy sounding as alnico 5's tend to be, I found that burying the bass side of the neck and middle pickups, helped greatly. As for the bridge, I really like the bass side raised, sounded really nice with some moderate/heavy gain, I was quite surprised as I am not a huge bridge pickup/gain fan. I hooked these up to my Katana and ran them through four different amp settings: clean/reverb, mid scooped clean with reverb/chorus 40%, bassy clean with 10% OD boost and then a somewhat "heavy" gian with the mids scooped.. I am more than satisfied with how these pickups sound on every setting, then again I like my strats to sound a little filthy. If you're hoping to get chimey, articulate, bell-like tones out of these (or any alnico V mangets I've ever had) keep shopping... if your looking for something that can handle gain and OD with no problems, maybe some dirty Hendrix tones, these are a great value!! ...IMO

Sounds great! Fit is tight on Squier, you will have to do a bit of sanding.
Had to butcher the thing a little to get it to fit on my 2017 Squier Strat. Once I got it on tough, it sounds fantastic! It really rounds out the sound and is a great upgrade for the harsh and grating ceramics that ship with the cheap Squiers. The neck is so good, really nice and round with lots of opportunities to be dynamic. the bridge is okay, not super lead-y and is a little quiet but it works okay. The middle is just kinda there, it works good for getting those 3 and 4 positions but on its own doesn't sound remarkable. Also it is VERY cream colored, like it looks like it was smoked around for 15 years. That's an effect you might like, but just putting that out there so you know. You could probably pull the electronics and pickup covers off and basically just use it as a replacement harness to throw into another pick guard and set of covers.

Nice replacement
After 40 years of the same internal workings, I thought I would try a replacement setup. Worked perfectly and a great sound that I remember from the past.

This was basically all the electronics for a Stratocaster I was building. The quality of the wiring and pickups is excellent and the sound is superb. Fell into place as though it had grown there. Big recommend for a big sound.
