Rain-X 620107 Bug and Tar Defense Pre-Wash Gel, 16 fl. oz, 1 Pack

This product works sooooo well! I was completely shocked at how well it cleaned off the road tar that splattered up my entire Yukon XL. I bought 3 bottles of this product, thinking I would have to redo the application multiple times… but one bottle completely cleared and washed away the tar on my entire SUV. I did hear that if you leave it on for longer than recommended it works better, and that was very true. Instead of leaving it sit on the tar on my fenders, doors, windows, etc. for only 5 minutes, I let the spray gel sit for closer to 20 minutes. I literally lightly wiped the first area that was my test area, and the tar came right off so easily. I barely scrubbed it, i only wiped it away. I did a little more detail scrubbing with the product on my rags too, and it worked extremely well. I was really blown away at how well this product cleans road debris and tar. I thought i wouldn’t be able to get that tar off ever, and that the paint was ruined. I didnt realize road tar and debris like that is more common than i thought. YouTube videos helped me figure out how to use this product too. That’s actually how i found out about this Rain X prewash gel. Highly recommend! So happy i found this product!!

I live in florida so this was used to get lovebugs off my hood. First of all, it works about as well as the product was already using. (Armor all bug and tar remover). It works alright but usually requires multiple applications to remove most of the bug residue. This product has one clear advantage though. The fact that it gels and stays where you spray it. The only issue I ran into is that the gel knocked all of the suds out of my wash water when I was removing it so I had to start fresh after removing the product.

This Bug and Tar remover will clean those nasty black streaks off of your RV. The trick is to put it on before wetting the vehicle, you let it sit for a moment and take a dry rag and the black streaks disappear.

This product does the trick, removing more sticky and nasty substances. The directions say to apply for 3-5 minutes, then to clean with car wash solution, although do not do this. You need to RINSE everywhere you have sprayed this product. This will goo up when it sits on your car for a few minutes, but when it mixes with car wash solution, it’s like it takes away the ability to soap/bubble up. The picture I posted is supposed to be a lime green wash solution, but after washing on the tar solution, it’s not light blue with no ability to produce suds, which doesn’t allow the car to wash well. Apply the spray, rinse, then wash.

Don't wait to use it because bugs will pit your vehicle's paint; it can't undo the damage.
