I bought 3 of these for the 3 different Mitsubishi A/C models in my home. They work very well with all of them with some adjustment of the program codes. The included instructions were not written by a native speaker so you have to "think" a little about what they are trying to say. The default programing code for Mitsubishi did not work all of the functions of my units but when I moved the Code to 576, all of the functions worked properly. A couple of weeks after receiving them, one of the units randomly reset itself to factory settings, but I just removed the batteries and set it back to the correct program code and it's been working fine since. For less than $7.00, one really can't expect too much more.IMPORTANT NOTE: these units display Celsius, not Fahrenheit. I compensated for this by just printing out and taping a thin Celsius to Fahrenheit translation table of minimum to maximum temperatures down the side of the unit -- not much of an inconvenience.I'll update this Review if any of these babies start dying over the Summer.UPDATE: recently sold the home with the Mitsubishi A/C units but the remotes reviewed here were still functioning great (over a year later) when I left them behind. A commenter to my original post indicates that you can change C to F by holding down the "OK" button for a few seconds.

I have 4 different Mitsubishi A/C models at home and this worked on the split a/c types but didn't work on the cassette types. When it works, it works pretty well though. Controls the on/off, fan angle and speed, cooling mode and temperature. There's a timer on and off function but I haven't tried it yet.Build quality is good and it doesn't feel cheap at all. In fact I prefer its ergonomics to the original Mitsubishi controller (which is bigger).Set up is pretty simple if you follow the instruction leaflet inside the package. It basically involves selecting the correct code for your A/C model. Fastest way was to use the 'automatic search' function by first selecting the range applicable to your brand and then holding down the 'set' button for 6 seconds while pointing the remote at the A/C. The remote then cycles through a series of codes and the A/C turns on once the remote arrives at a matching code. Test the other remote functions to ensure everything works properly and if not, manually cycle the code further to see if there are better matching codes.Would have given this 5 stars had it been able to control my cassette A/Cs.

I would give it a 4.9 if I f I could just because setting up is a bit of a hassle.Be sure to set aside about 20 min, because you have to wait for the codes to match up and your Ac to turn on and off in a matter of seconds to narrow down your Ac "code" .After that's set, it's a breeze.It takes AAA batteries (not included) so have those ready too before your order arrives.Other than that!, its a steal, considering original remotes from the manufacturer cost around $100!!

Good convenient product

I have a McQuay unit with two others in the bedrooms. Only one remote was given to me. I purchased the HQRP Universal AC Remote and it was comparable! Easy to program and love that it comes with batteries! Purchasing another remote for second bedroom.

Could not yet get this to work with my mitsubishi ac. Perhaps some more effort, but so far no good...You have to program it and Im not sure its programmable...
