The bag has poor a english translation. Comes from "east asia." They are likely roasted due to having a smokey flavor, and would not sprout next to other USA buckwheat i sprouted. I think it is dark in color due to the roasting. Unknown soil growing conditions make me only eat this on rare occasions. Will likely not buy another bag.
