I have a wavy haired shitzu poodle mix. This is the best slicker brush I have used on him because of its small size and how gently it detangles his fur. I think the plastic nubs on the ends of the bristles really help it be more gentle, but it still detangles well and keeps him soft and fluffy.

Good handle, good teeth. Comfortable grip. Cleans very easily.

Some of the pins have already been bent. Could be stronger pins for the light tangles my dog gets.

This brush is comfortable to hold and use on my dog. She enjoys being brushed now and it is easy to use on her paws, chin and other narrow places. Try it! You will like it!

My tiny yorkie loves his brush, which is a good size for a small dog (3 pounds). Words to the wise: start brushing your puppy DAILY--at least twice a day--to remove "puppy fluff" which is the fluffy fur puppies have which gives them their cuteness. It is similar to down on an Easter chick. If it is not removed it will cause mats as their real fur starts to grow in and these mats will be very uncomfortable. The puppy will be scratching constantly trying to loosen the mats, but without success--they have to be shaved off by a groomer. Brush the puppy very gently at first, do not rake into the skin, and never pull the mats with a brush as you could tear a puppy's fragile skin. Do not cause the puppy to fear grooming, teach it to love being groomed.

I've been buying these for years. They are perfectly sized for getting everywhere and I love being able to rotate the head to just give her a nice massage! Sometimes the pins fall out too fast but not usually.
