Don't buy it if you need mouse functions like drag and drop
This keyboard is impossible to use. The location of the mouse buttons in respect to the trackball are ridiculous

Ideal HTPC keybord
I ditched cable TV 3 years ago and set up a HTPC next to my couch. This transferred many of the functions of my remote controls to that of a mouse and keyboard. The big problem was finding the right keyboard to use while lounging and being able to watch media and surf at the same time. I used a USB mini keyboard for a while, but after upgrading to Win7 I had to get serious about finding a wireless interface for the system. After a lot of searching, I stumbled on the Periboard 706PLUS. This looked like a great solution and I was not disappointed.This keyboard is easy to handle when I am reclining or have a cat sitting on my lap. The keys are large and easy to read. This is important because I am often trying to type with one hand.I use a mouse on the side table so the track ball isn't important to me, but it works nicely it you prefer that. The RF link is flawless even from across the room. The keyboard is light yet stiff and is a good value. The USB transceiver is very small and can be stored inside the battery compartment when not in use. The unit is powered by 2 "AAA" cells.Altogether the product is an excellent reflection of German design principles - basic lines, practical with excellent performance yet, unlike traditional products, it is very affordable. Perixx products may be a little hard to find, but I am happy I looked long enough to find what I wanted and I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

Ho preso la mini tastiera con trackball nella speranza di usarla sporadicamente con il mio mediacenter/HTPC. La dimensione è ottima per lo scopo e il trackball sembrava un'ottima alternativa ai trackpad di altre tastiere per htpc.Il problema è che la posizione dei tasti sx/dx del mouse è assolutamente vergognosa. E' molto difficile effettuare il click sinistro senza spostare il cursore ed è impossibile effettuare operazioni come drag-n-drop. Il tasto sinistro sarebbe dovuto essere sulla sinistra della tastiera.Inoltre i tasti sono piatti e tutti attaccati uno all'altro rendendo difficile individuare con il solo tatto l'inizio/fine degli stessi.Infine, durata delle batterie ridicola. Con un utilizzo estremamente sporadico (uso il 90% delle volte il telecomando) le batterie sono durate un mesetto.Sconsigliata sotto tutta la linea.
