I use this as a mold for homemade dishwasher detergent tablets. I've heard of people using ice cube trays for the same purpose but I imagine that getting them out would be next to impossible and quite a headache. They are somewhat crumbly so, this tray is PERFECT for that. All you have to do is push from the bottom and it comes out in a perfect square mold. I'm really impressed. I have purchased products by Wilton before for various baking purposes and they really make quality stuff. Considering how easily these dishwasher tabs fall apart, I imagine that candy, chocolates, and ice would come out with no problem at all. The tray can be used in refrigerator, freezer, microwave or the oven (up to 500 degrees!). I can think of about a billion other uses for this tray (baby food, homemade beauty products, brownies, bars) and I expect that I will be using it for quite a long time. In case you are wondering how much each cavity holds, I would say a little over a tablespoon per cavity. My detergent recipe calls for a tablespoon per tablet and the was just a little room left over after I filled it. This is really easy to clean. I didn't have a problem with sticking and it held up just fine in the dishwasher. I would definitely recommend this product! Excellent quality!
