The Matilda Mk II was a British infantry tank of the second world war; the best armored tank in the world at the start of the war. Its armament was placed in the turret. Currently, the tank can be seen in the tank museum in Bovington. In the set one can find a tank 2495 with operable trapdoor, a cannon that moves up and down and rotating turret.

Another great by Cobi
Brilliant, as always. Cobi always bat a six with these kits, they look great and are fun to build. The tracks work very well on carpet and surprisingly well on smooth flooring, though they aren't as good as the bigger tracks on the larger models like the Churchill and Tigers. The colour may look odd, but it was an official British Army vehicle camo pattern they tested out in the desert, and was what was painted on the Tank Museum's restored Matilda tank.Plus this comes with a David Fletcher MBE figure to ride around in it, which automatically adds plus points! A very accurate representation of the Queen of the Desert, and sits proudly on the shelf with her fellow British tanks from Cobi.

An easy, satisfying, enjoyable, build.
A nice, enjoyable build. There are two numbered bags numbers 1 and 2. Instructions are clear and easy to follow. Building the two drive chains which go around the wheels is a little challenging. Blocks fit tightly, resulting in a firm, sturdy build. End/final product looks lovely. Recommended, a worthy investment.

Great, but could be better
This is the second of three I've built with my children so far. All are brilliant, but this only gets 4-stars because the tracks are very fiddly and too easily thrown-off when played with. Also, the scale is a bit dubious; it seems to be too wide for the length. A quick review of Wikipedia and Tank Encyclopedia shows that the model follows the wiki dimensions, very closely but the Tank Encyclopedia entry claims it is 1 metre longer than the wiki page and to me that seems to be more believable.Don't be put of by the few faults, though; the good stuff far out-weighs any negatives!

Very wide
Not quite what I expected, still a good build overall and actually sturdy in the end as it’s Hull is built differently compared to most but a little wide compared to other tanks in my collection, like 2 blocks wider but still looks good 👍

Fun Kit
Fun kit to build but not the most accurate in the Cobi range.
