Interesting story!
Very interesting story based on true events experienced in a time when families handled emotions of loss stoically. Appreciated the little known history related to a family still prominent.

Couldn't put this book down! Beautifully told story that you've probably never heard
I bought this book after hearing an interview with the author on the excellent History Authors Podcast (Dean Karyanis) and I'm certainly glad I did. A wonderfully told story of the kidnapping and murder of Adolph Coors III on Feb 9, 1960, and the subsequent manhunt for the man responsible. While the book is non-fiction and all factual, it's not told in a way that's dry and just facts driven. The author Philip Jett does a great job engaging you the whole way. Would highly recommend this beautifully written true-crime story.

Gripping read!
Meticulously researched and well told, the story of the bungled attempt to kidnap the heir to the Coors brewing empire is an unputdownable read!

Excellent! Best true crime book I've read in ages.
I lived in Colorado and was 17 years old when Adolph Coors was kidnapped an murdered and well remember the incident. This book is the best true crime book I've ever read. The author is extremely talented. It is a true crime but the book is not just pages of dull, facts. Absolutely couldn't put the book down. Amazing how the rich Coors family were so cold about the son/brother being murdered. How awful! This book deserves about 10 gold stars.Really great book!
