I bought these for a couple reasons. Firstly because I like decorating cakes, but my hands can't handle doing flowers the old fashioned way anymore. And also to see if this would make a good gift for a friend that makes cupcakes often. Using a regular buttercream works fine, no need for extra stiff (if it's too stiff and dry, they frosting doesn't stick and you end up with pretty blobs stuck to your tips). These were EASY to do! All those flowers stuck to the side were applied directly to the cake, like stamps. The leaf and vine were my own tips. The kit doesn't come with couplers that fit the ball tips or the included leaf tips, but you can just jam the leaf tips in the end of a cut bag. That doesn't work with the ball tips, since the ball is almost as big as the base of those tips so they pop out of the bag with a firm squeeze. The leaf tips do not fit on a standard coupler, but work fine without one. These tips are excellent quality. You'll need to find your own coupler for the ball tips and leaf tips, or leaf tips can be used without a coupler.

I bought these tips for my mom for Mothers Day, and she was so excited. She loves them! The tips are strong and sturdy; they are not flimsy, so there is no need to worry about them bending or warping. And the box they come in is both pretty and small enough to not take up a lot of room, even though the tips are a large size. Good design for small spaces. She was thrilled with the ebook and tried out one of the recipes right away. She loves the results! She says using the tips does take some practice, but she is very much enjoying learning how to use them. The promised ebook was emailed to me about a week after I placed the order. Since the order itself arrived within two days, I seriously thought they had forgotten to email the ebook, but they didn't forget. It is quite helpful. Also, customer service is excellent if you contact them.

A very complete set with all kinds of fun possibilities for decorating. I particularly like these for decorating cupcakes. The piping tips are very good quality and they come in a nice and sturdy box that makes storing them easy as well. I love that it is so easy to use multiple colors with these tips to create a very professional look. And believe me, I am no baking professional and not even particularly artistic yet these tips make even my cakes and cupcakes look good. There are so many tips to choose from I don't know if I'll ever even use them all - a great set and it would be a fun gift to anyone who likes to bake cakes.

First, I want to address some complaints I read from other buyers and have included some pictures for clarification. The description says they come in a “beautiful gift box.” You can judge for yourself if you agree. Keep in mind this does not say it comes in a functional storage box. I have included a pic so you can see how it was packaged. The biggest complaint that I saw was that this didn’t come with an instruction book. I included a screenshot of the Amazon description where I highlighted one place where it clearly says that it is an ebook which will be emailed to you. In fact, the Amazon description mentions in three different places this information! If you were expecting a book, then I’m wondering if you clearly read the entire description before purchase. It also says that if you don’t get your email, contact them and they will send it right away. This happened to me. I sent them a message through Amazon and they sent me the ebook PDF before the day was over. I printed mine out which I included a picture of. Please ignore the fact that it’s black and white. My printer is dying. I have been decorating cakes since the 90’s and flowers always intimidated me. These tips are so easy to use, though! I have 4 girls and they’ll probably use these a ton. I think they’re a great buy; good quality at a low price.

First thought is that these things use Alot of butter cream. But of course, they are huge compared to even standard larger tips. Second the bags the come with this aren't the greatest quality but they come as a freebee so just order a pack. I'm glad I used them to just experiment though because it took some figuring out with the tri-tipped coupler. I only use maybe ten of the 20 something tips I have. I ran out of buttercream these will take some practice to see how much pressure, how tall to make them, etc. I love the color gradient though! But I do recommend using a larger, good quality bag. Even a reusable one would be better. But over all these tips are worth the money. Tip. Practice on something that's not a cake or whatever you plan to eat. I just used parchment snd a cutting board I cannot wait to try out the ball Russian piping tips next!

These are amazing. It is like taking off the training wheels!! My only issue is trying to make the icing taste better. I love buttercream icing, but find the taste of frosting with crisco unappealing so I have been trying to use different flavors such as almond etc. to enhance it. If I find a great one I will share. They make fabulous flowers, and I want them to taste better than they look. I have been sharing about these tips with everyone I know that does cake decorating!! Face it, if all of a sudden you can make something that is WAY!!! better and the people haven't seen yet, you want your friends to know about it.

I received my piping tips very quickly. I love them! I love the fact that they are so easy to use and make me feel like an expert cake decorator which I am not. I have been able to produce beautifully decorated cupcakes so far, and everyone loved them. I did not receive the ebook at first, but the customer service at K&S Artisan responded to me within a few hours and sent me the link.
