Good overall value for the money.
Update. One of the lights has stopped working. Unfortunately it is the one I placed in the door panel. Once I have time to take the door panel off, I will up[date the review. If the light has failed in less than 30 days of use, I will be updating my rating.Points to be aware of (Not necessarily negatives):• Does not come with any adhesives. In most cases the tube will fit nicely in the gaps between trim panels. There where two times that I needed to use double stick foam tape to fill a slight gap. I do not recommend any type of glues.• Keep individual runs to about 3 feet. After about 3 feet the light becomes visibly dimmer.• For long runs you can use one external tube and run LEDS from both ends to prevent dimming.• Be aware there are 2 long cabled LED's and 3 shorter, though the length should be more than enough in almost all applications.• The external tube does defuse the light, so be make sure that you minimize the exposure of the "fiber optic" outside the tube. [There were a couple places in my vehicle where the fiber optic was exposed outside of the tube, and for those places I used "Aluminum Black Foil Tape Matte" (https://www.amazon.com/LLPT-Aluminum-Adhesive-Sealing-BF255/dp/B08Z3YTQFB) to cover the fiber optic so it was not visible. You might be able to use something like electrical tape. I figured the Aluminum Black Foil Tape would help keep the light from being dimmed by the tape.]• I could not find a amp usage so I used a 5 amp fuse and it is working, but I am guessing that 5 amps will destroy the electronics of the LED controller. I would rather replace the LED controller than fry my car. It would be nice to have the required amperage so I could use the correct fuse. [See below: I did not use the supplied 12v accessory power plug, which probably has the correct fuse built in. I hope :) ]• The "fiber optics" are not the best. There are some micro air bubbles in the plastic, which does effect the overall brightness.Positives:• The app is better than I thought it would be. Although it does often need to be reconnected with the controller after moving outside of the Bluetooth range. The reconnection is as simple a pressing a button.• The controller does store the last lighting configuration so if you do not plan on changing the lighting often, you can set it once and forget it.• The aluminum heat sink around the LED does a good job dissipating heat.• The aluminum heat sink has a freely rotating top to prevent kinks and breaking of the "fiber optic".• Very good value for the money. The finished product looks great. For my wiring of the controller I did not use the supplied accessory power plug. I cut the accessory power plug off the wiring and tapped into a 12v switched circuit in my fuse box using a 12V Car Add-a-Circuit Fuse Adapter (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07TBRM45F?psc=1) added a small latching button (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094F7HTC6?psc=1) and connected to a in car ground. This set up works well. I do not like the idea of having accessory power plugs in the lighter ports all the time. For the price this product is a very great value. I highly recommend this product.

Installation came out great..Patience required
This is a tricky one to review. Ultimately, I like the way the installation turned out. That being said, installation was difficult with only having two hands! The mounting tube flap that ticks in between panels should be a bit deeper. Trim tools are a must, but a fair amount of patience is needed to open gaps, slide in the mounting tube, slide your trim tool down the seam all while ensuring the previously tucked in section(s) stay in place. Once you get the hang of it things move quickly. What is NOT quick is having to cut the wiring to fish through door boots when installing in door panels. The barrel at the end of the wire is too large to pass through. If the barrel was removable from the wire or the end of the wire at the control box could be secured during installation (not soldered to the board) installation would be much faster. To fish through the door boot I had to cut the wire, fish into door then splice back together. The problem here is the wire is a very small gauge which slows the process dramatically.Mine did not come with a remote, but the control box has a QR code. Scan it and the Lotus Lantern app pops up. Was able to match color to the other led lights in the car. There are a lot of 1 star reviews and I believe they may be posted by very non technical or non mechanically inclined folks.I would have gone 5 stars, but feel strongly that the tab on the mounting tube should be deeper , maybe thicker as well. A BIG one point deduction for the hassle of having to cut and splice small gauge wire to Mount in door panels (assuming you want a clean, stealth and professional looking install). My wife’s car has factory ambient lighting and if I do say so myself, my Saturday afternoon project looks better!I will be ordering to more sets- one for the back doors and 3rd row seat area as well and one for under the hood. As my SUV has real hood scoops I think it would look cool to see the light shine through from under the hood at night.Bottom line is product does what it says. Patience required as well as some mechanical skills and you’ll have a nice looking finished product

Semi hard to install
Didn’t come with remote but it has an app so that’s okay, just scan the QR code on the wire box and it takes you to the download, personally for my car it was hard to install but only because there wasn’t much give in my dash for it to slide in, be careful not to bend the fiber optic cable, if it bends, the crease will be brighter than the rest of the cable, I had sharp angles in turn so mine is brighter at most bends along my dash. Keep in mind that this is a moderate to difficult installation, you need to remove plastic trim and integrate the wires to where you can’t see them which is difficult at times. Overall super sick, not as clean as Cadillac does it but a good second option

As advertised
The long wires give you lots of flexibility for routing. The on/off switch on the cigarette lighter plug is nice, but rather big, bulky and ugly. I chose to cut it off and hard wire the unit with a circuit breaker with an external of/off switch. The app isn't very intuitive but does give you LOTS of flexibility to choose custom colors. The various music effects (pulse and fade) are nice. Probably the hardest thing, in terms of installation, is stuffing the tapered edge of the plastic tubing into trim crevices of your upholstery. You need to be delicate, yet forceful. In some places, it's easier to just use tacky glue where you apply it to the surfaces of your upholstery and the tubing. Then you just press into place. Might be better to use a commercial grade as the consumer stuff might not hold up from vibration. All in all, it does what it says.
